Transfer Credit Information

If you have recently completed graduate credit at another institution, you may be eligible for transfer credit.  Graduate-level courses completed within the past seven years may be considered for Master of Arts students, and graduate-level courses completed within the past 10 years may be considered for Master of Divinity students. Our policies for transfer credit and advanced standing eligibility are listed in our Academic Catalog.

Admitted or current students may request an evaluation of graduate transcripts for transfer pre-approval. Transfer credit is awarded only after your first semester grades have been posted.

While undergraduate credit cannot be considered for transfer towards a graduate degree, you may qualify for advanced standing in some introductory-level courses, as long as you earned a grade of “C” or better and your undergraduate degree was conferred within the past three years. You may request an evaluation of your undergraduate transcript for advanced standing pre-approval. Advanced standing is entered on your transcript only after your first semester grades have been posted.
