JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide full-time leadership for worship ministry including the following:
• Provide comprehensive worship opportunities on Sundays and throughout the week.
• Utilize the worship/music resources that the God has placed within our church
• Build worship resources in people and programs that involve and relate to worshipers coming from a variety of church backgrounds, ages, and cultures.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Educational:
o A Bachelor of Arts (preferred) including foundational Bible, Theology classes with a focus in music theory, worship leadership and composing.
o Masters of Arts (preferred) that includes advanced music theory, leadership, performance
•Professional experience:
o Considerable experience in worship leadership
o Acceptable references from prior positions
•Spiritual:
o Witness to having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
•Commitment:
o To a life style in harmony with Biblical values within the Church of the Nazarene
o Member of Church of the Nazarene or other Methodist/Wesleyan Church tradition in good standing
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
•Provide leadership for the worship/music ministry program
•Provide spiritual leadership and discipleship for the worship/music team
•Coordinate monthly the Worship Schedule
•Coordinate weekly congregational individual and corporate involvement
•Provide leadership for special seasonal worship/music ministry ie Christmas, Easter, etc
•Coordinate special music and offertories for worship on a regular basis
•Coordinate music and leadership for Japanese Sanbi worship group
•Supervise the weekly music rehearsal including vocalists, instrumentalists and tech ministries, offertories, special music
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Pastor of Church Worship Ministry, should demonstrate leadership through...
•Defining short and long term vision for worship and music ministry with development of adequate plans to achieve the vision.
•Providing spiritual leadership for participants.
•Recruiting and supervising others as participating members of the music/worship team.
•Providing training and technical leadership to help members develop their ministry skills.

Lead the weekly contemporary service and the praise band. Plan the service with the pastors and worship staff. This is presently a part-time position that we could take to full time if the candidate has proficiencies in other ministry areas we need like video production, technical ministries, etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are offering a dual position for a creative, energetic worship leader to develop and lead a new contemporary worship service. This is a dual position that includes guiding and nurturing college students in an established campus ministry program. We are seeking an individual with strong musical skills, experience in leading worship and the ability to envision and implement at new, authentic contemporary worship service. In addition, this person will be responsible for maintaining and energizing a Christ-centered campus ministry program.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Worship Leadership or Music, with experience leading worship ministry in a church setting.
Background in Campus Ministry, Youth Ministry, or Christian Education is highly desired.
DUTIES
Serves as Director of Campus Ministry
Coordinates, facilitates, and leads Bible studies, spiritual development activities, worship experiences, prayer services, discussion groups, fellowship activities, retreats, and service/mission opportunities.
Serves as informed resource person, spiritual leader, counselor and administrator to college students.
Develops, implements, and participates in an outreach plan for college students, including FPC college students.
Contacts visiting students and maintains contact with Presbytery and Synod churches with students attending Columbia area colleges.
Works directly with the Campus Ministry Mission Committee, including preparation of an annual budget and annual report.
Serves as Worship Leader for Blended Worship Service
Develops and implements a system for identifying and developing vocal, instrumental, and technical worship team members and coordinates their skill training while facilitating their spiritual growth.
Obtains, arranges, and distributes musical scores as needed and in compliance with copyright laws: develops and maintains a music library.
Communicates with staff and then all worship service participants, effectively preparing them for worship.
Provides leadership for the blended worship service and serves as a participant, as needed, for announcements, providing focus for the sermon theme, presenting meditations, and leading congregational responses.
SALARY
40,000 including benefits
