Looking for two part time kennel technicians to be responsible for AM kennel duties every morning from Monday-Sunday. The Connections Pastor at GCF is responsible for shepherding and leading Community Groups and other small group leaders by encouraging and equipping them to pursue GCF's mission, values and leadership principles and to create a predictable and vital small-group environment. The purpose of GCF community groups is to provide environments in which people can be transformed into authentic followers of Jesus. The Connections Pastor also overseas GCF's efforts to create a welcoming and hospitable Sunday morning environment that begins the process of "connecting" guests and visitors into the life and ministry of GCF.

QUALIFICATIONS

The profile of the Connections Pastor should be a blend between people and task personality traits. The candidate must be passionate about small group ministry, training small group leaders and connecting attendees to small groups. He/she should have one of the following spiritual gifts: leadership, discernment, exhortation, teaching and/or pastor/shepherd.

DUTIES

Shepherd Community and Small Group Leaders (40%) 6.5 hours
1. Huddle with community and small group leaders 3 times a year.
2. Meet one-on-one with at least one group leader each week. This should take place in a cycle so that face-to-face meetings are regularly taking place between the Connections Pastor and group leaders.
3. Equip and develop group leaders around GCF's mission, values, vision and leadership essentials.
4. Monitor the health, effectiveness and duration of groups by making weekly telephone calls to each group leader.
5. Be available to minister and serve each leader.

Enlist Leaders (10%) 1.5 hours
1. Interview all new leaders in preparation for leading new groups.
2. Work with group leaders to identify potential new leaders.
3. Recruit and develop new leaders.

Oversee Multiplication (25%) 4 hours
1. Prepare for and work with "Starting Point" during the course of fall and spring semesters.
2. Track group progress throughout the group's duration.
3. Identify potential new group leaders within each group and enlist new leaders 6 months prior to the beginning of "Starting Point."
4. Ensure that multiplication, evangelism and community service are taking place in the life of each group.

Administration (10%) 1.5 hours
1. Track and oversee updates of group data.
2. Ensure timely follow-up after each leader huddle.
3. Maintain contact with Starting Point Leaders to work with viability of new group.
4. Verify that all group information is current and accurate.

Training Events (5%) 1 hour
1. Plan and coordinate Community Group/Small Group leader training events.
2. Participate in tool development as needed.
3. Participate in other ministry events as necessary or required.

First Impact (10%) 2 hours
1. Work with First Impact Team Leader to ensure that Sunday morning environment is welcoming; particularly with guests.
2. Maintain a rotation of: greeters, ushers, parking lot attendants and hospitality tent workers.

SALARY

$12,000 to $14,000/yr
