QUALIFICATIONS

DUTIES
This position provides room for innovation but we have a program in place and we need a director. Volunteers and current Sr. Youth are mentoring Jr. High students. Weekly meetings and participation in Sunday School and Sunday Worship are required.

The Youth Director is responsible for youth development programs at the Church. This includes multiple aspects of a well rounded educational, program. DUTIES
The Youth Director is responsible for the following:
1. Developing spiritual and social growth of middle school, high school and college/career age persons in Apopka and surrounding areas.
2. To attract youth to the church by having weekly programs in place to further the youth's relationship with God and faith in United Methodist beliefs. The programs will have creative appeal that speaks to the youth of today.
3. Bible classes will be developed to instill a solid faith and belief structure grounded in scripture which leads to the United Methodist Church doctrine.
4. There should be weekly events involving elements of fellowship, worship, prayer, and service.
5. Monthly events will be planned or attended which should also further the youth's walk with God. For example: Christian concerts, mini-golf, bowling, beach trips, retreats, conferences, missions, etc.
6. Programs for summer and school holidays will be developed.
7. Oversee the safety of all youth during all programs and events following the Church's Youth/Child Protection Policy.
8. Communicate needs with the Senior Pastor.
9. Attend weekly staff meetings.
10.Abide by Youth/Child Protection and Employee Conduct Policies.
