MINISTRY SYSTEMS COORDINATOR

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF CONGREGATIONAL CARE MINISTRIES

STAFF ACCOUNTANT

LEAD PASTOR

Ekklesia Atlanta Christian Fellowship located in Atlanta, Georgia, is looking for a brother to serve full-time as Lead Pastor.  The role seeks primarily to care for and equip the congregation for kingdom work (Ep 4:12) and to make disciples of all nations (Mt 28:19).  The role will be subject to evaluation by the council of elders while being an equal member to the elders. CHILDREN’S MINISTRY DIRECTOR 

First United Methodist Church – Andover Campus in Lexington, Kentucky, is seeking a Children’s Ministry Director for Nursery – 5th grade.  This job requires 15 hours a week and is responsible to the Andover Lead Team, working directly under the supervision of the Campus Pastor.  The position will be evaluated every 12 months.

CHILDREN’S MINISTER & AIM SOCCER LEAGUE DIRECTOR

AIM Soccer League Director—Basic Responsibilities:  lead AIM Soccer Ministry Team that plans and implements a Fall & Spring Soccer League (typically September through October and April through May), recruit volunteer coaches, assistant coaches & referees, recruit sponsors and manage AIM Soccer Budget, coordinate volunteers for field maintenance including painting and set up and down for games, oversee promotion of league and advertising, oversee registration, provide clear and creative ways to link families back to our St. Matthews & River City Campuses

Basic Hours are not to exceed 20 hours per week during soccer season (February-May & July-October) and are not to exceed 12 hours per week outside of soccer season.   There is one exception for week of Vacation Bible School where it is budgeted for up to 40 hours.  Sunday Mornings are  from 9:00-12:30 where there is 100% oversight of Nursery and workers and 100% oversight of Splash Children’s Ministry.  This position directly reports to the Campus Pastor of River City UMC the Staff Parish Rep at River City UMC and Staff Parish Relations Committee at St. Matthews United Methodist Church.  Evaluations are held at the 90 day mark and one year anniversary.  Salary is $15 per hour.  The person to contact is Derek Robinette at drobinette@saintmatthewsumc.org

DIRECTOR OF YOUTH, YOUNG ADULT, AND MEDIA MINISTRIES

St. Matthews United Methodist Church located in Louisville, Kentucky, is a growing church in Louisville with multiple venuesseeking a Director of Youth, College Students, Young Adults (under 35) and Media Ministries who would guide the vision and direction of the youth and young adult programming of the Church, while also working with staff and the communication team to create videos, and effectively utilize social media to be consistent with the mission of the Church.

SENIOR PASTOR

Two healthy small town congregations in Southeast Nebraska are in search of one shared full-time Senior pastor who will preach, teach, and lead both congregations in mission and ministry. Ministry focuses include education, community outreach, and local ecumenical connections.
The congregations are located 20 minutes apart in separate farming communities. There is a larger town that connects both farming communities where many of the members of both congregations work and live. Our heritage is UCC, but both congregations are theologically conservative evangelical. One congregation has removed itself from UCC fellowship and united with the Evangelical Association while one congregation remains in UCC fellowship. The future pastor is being asked to make minimal connections with both fellowships and local ecumenical connections.

WORSHIP LEADER

CHAPLAIN/DIRECTOR OF CHURCH RELATIONS

Spartanburg Methodist College located in Spartanburg, South Carolina is seeking a Chaplain/Director of Church Relations.  Through dynamic programming, creative and meaningful worship experiences, and opportunities for study and social service the Chaplain/Director of Church Relations provides a vibrant program to promote the spiritual growth and well-being of the Spartanburg Methodist College community.  The Chaplain interacts with and ministers to all members of the Spartanburg Methodist College community but has a particular responsibility to its students.  In cooperation with the office of Institutional Advancement the Chaplain/Director of Church Relation works to develop and maintain a strong relationship with various church agencies.  The Chaplain/Director of Church Relations reports to the President of the College as the chief religious official on campus and serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet.  The Chaplain/Director of Church Relations works closely with all members of the cabinet and the Dean of Students to plan and implement programs that support the mission and vision of the College.  The Chaplain/Director of Church Relations must maintain a positive relationship with the South Carolina Annual Conference and the local church.  The work includes frequent contact with all members of the SMC community and with members of the pubic.  Evening and weekend work is expected.  The Chaplain/Director of Church Relations will travel frequently to meetings of the SC Annual Conference and to attend/officiate in services at UMC churches around the state.

Campus Ministry:  design and implement a program of campus ministry and community outreach, plan and provide opportunities for worship and religious programs in the Christian tradition that meet the needs of the student body and foster a spirit of community on the campus, organize educational discussion groups and retreats and provide opportunities for prayer and reflection, officiate at campus religious services, provide pastoral care, counseling and consultation for all members of the SMC community, but particularly for residential students, facilitate student connections to area churches and faith communities, serve as a confidential resource under Title IX, coordinate with other campus offices to offer opportunities for student engagement in community service programs and arrange short term service trips, and represent the College at both College and community functions.

External Church Relations:  serve as a liaison with local United Methodist congregations and other congregations in the Spartanburg community, maintain relationships between SMC and churches, boards, agencies and councils of the South Carolina Annual Conference and national church agencies, coordinate and lead SMC’s presence at the South Carolina United Methodist Conference each year, assist Institutional Advancement in completing the annual request for funding from the SC Annual Conference, work with Alumni Affairs to develop strategies for engaging SMC alumni in the church, work with Enrollment Management to develop strategies for recruiting United Methodist high schools students, regularly preach, teach and speak in churches around the state, and serve as a liaison for church-related groups who come to the SMC campus.

General Administration:  share with the SMC community information about significant events in the lives of faculty and staff members, manage the budget for the department, serve as building supervisor of the Mission Chapel, schedule and manage activities in the Chapel within the policies of the College, and serve on various committees of the College.

ENGLISH PASTOR

The Chinese Community Church (CCC) is located in the heart of Chinatown in downtown, Washington, DC.  It is the oldest Chinese-American church in the Washington metropolitan area and the only one in Washington, DC.  The church started as a mission outreach to Chinese immigrants in 1935 and continues to minister to new immigrants as well as 2nd and 3rd generation Chinese-Americans.  In addition to its foundation of multi-generational Chinese-Americans, CCC also ministers to a growing multi-cultural and multi-ethnic congregation of college students, young professionals, and families with young children.  Revitalization initiatives in the Chinatown area – such as the Verizon Center sports arena, the Washington Convention Center, a new Georgetown University downtown campus, new businesses, and residential real estate projects – present exciting new ministry opportunities for CCC.  Changes within the Washington, D.C. area are bringing increased opportunities for CCC to reach out to the Chinatown and greater community in need of the Gospel.  We believe in God’s promise to further grow and develop our English-speaking congregation through an emphasis on equipping our college, young professional, and congregants with young children for ministry.  The Chinese Community Church is calling a pastor that will serve CCC by providing leadership, teaching, caring, and vision to ensure the spiritual health and growth of the English Congregation.  Most importantly, this pastor will demonstrate a servant’s heart with the ability to balance leadership, humility, and grace.
