International Student Admissions
With 177 international students from 49 countries, international students enrich the Asbury Theological Seminary community and are encouraged to apply for admission.

Requirements for admission include (but are not limited to):
- Application
- $50 non-refundable application fee
- Four references
- Personal History Essay
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2.75 / 4.0 GPA
- Applicants whose GPA falls between a 2.75 and a 2.5 may be admitted on a “reduced load” basis
- Copies of course-by-course official transcripts (English translation preferred) from all schools attended since high school
- For students whose first language is not English,
- A minimum TOEFL score of 550 (79 internet based) or IELTS score of 7.0 is required for admission to the certificate, master of arts, master of divinity and doctor of ministry degree programs.
(This may be waived for students who have completed a post-secondary degree at an institution in which the primary language of instruction is English.) - A minimum TOEFL score of 577 (90 internet based) IELTS score of 7.5 is required for the master of theology and doctor of missiology degree programs
- A minimum TOEFL score of 600 (100 internet based) IELTS score of 7.5 is required for the doctor of philosophy degree program

Applicants for the limited number of international student scholarships will be considered on a competitive basis in March prior to the beginning of a given academic year. To be considered for a scholarship, an applicant must be admitted no later than January 31 prior to full enrollment.
International Student scholarships cover tuition only. Recipients are responsible for all other expenses and, as a condition of accepting the scholarship, must commit to return to their home country for ministry.
Scholarship policy is such that the scholarship must be awarded prior to enrollment. International students who enroll without being awarded an international student scholarship are ineligible for future scholarship consideration.
