We seek a priest who is committed to historic Anglican doctrine. The ideal candidate will demonstrate progressive levels of leadership working with church staff, vestry, outreach initiatives, and church committees. ·         confident in the Good News and Hope of the scripture

·         committed to the authority of scripture

·         knowledgeable of the historical context of scripture, able to explain its meaning, and prepared to challenge the parish to apply it in our daily lives

·         committed to the importance of music and praise in the worship experience.

Discipleship and Growth

We seek a Rector who will:

·         be dedicated to the discipleship and spiritual growth of members

·         foster growth of small groups and teach these groups periodically

·         demonstrate experience in leading and guiding effective pastoral care to meet the needs of parishioners

·         be hospitable to visitors and place emphasis on bringing new members to St. Andrew’s, particularly college-age people, young singles, and young families

·         be committed to growing our current outreach, including our tutoring ministry to the Hispanic community, and leading the church in new ministries as guided by the Holy Spirit.

While not a requirement, a Rector who is fluent in Spanish would be a great benefit to our parish ministry.

St. Andrew’s has developed a strong relationship with Asbury Theological Seminary and its Anglican Studies Program (co-directed by our assisting priest) that is a beneficial resource to our parish. We seek a candidate who will continue to leverage and nurture this relationship.

Application must be made by January 30, 2021.
