African Community Fellowship

Promoting community in the African Spirit

The African Community Fellowship of Asbury Theological Seminary comprises of students, non-students, staff as well as alumni living in and around the City of Wilmore where the Seminary is located. We are a community united by a common cultural heritage and unique expression of faith and worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus. It is our pleasure to be part of the warm and welcoming Community of Asbury Seminary which eminently mirrors and exemplifies that ideal of unity in diversity that defines the body of Christ. We believe that God still lives and moves amongst his people in dynamic and powerful ways, and indeed, in ways that are quite African. Thus, we aim to promote the Seminary’s cultural diversity by keeping alive the African spirit through prayer, worship and community. Our Fellowship meets three times during each semester. Everyone is welcome to join us for exciting moments of rich African cultural experience.

The African Community Fellowship is led by a group of coordinators elected at the end of every school year. They comprise of a president, secretary and worship leader. Our current leaders are:

Kennedy Ekeocha (President)
Uzondu Adachukwu (Secretary)
Jeanine Mbela (Ass. Secretary)
