Andrea McDaniel Smith leads the Washington, D.C. office for CarterBaldwin Executive Search and serves clients in the nonprofit, higher education, international and economic development, philanthropy, and public policy sectors. Andrea joined CarterBaldwin in 2015 following more than 15 years of distinguished work in public service and nonprofit organizations. Andrea served in the White House Office of Presidential Personnel, advising George W. Bush on his appointments to government agencies. She also played a key leadership role in the recruitment and assessment of hundreds of senior individuals as the Deputy White House Liaison at the U.S. Department of State.
Price Harding

Price is Chairman of CarterBaldwin, which has grown to be one of the fifty largest Executive Search firms in the US. Over his thirty-year executive search career, he has been principal consultant on more than 1,000 successfully completed recruiting engagements for C-Level leaders, Officers, and Directors for privately held and publicly traded companies. Price also co-leads CarterBaldwin’s rapidly growing university and nonprofit search practice. Prior to entering the recruitment industry, Price served as Director of Operations for an equipment manufacturing company.
Matt Minier
Consultant
Matt brings almost 20 years of experience in higher education to his role at CarterBaldwin. He joined the firm from Southern Seminary and Boyce College, where he was Vice President for Enrollment Management. Matt began his career in higher education at his alma mater, Cedarville University, as Resident Director in the office of Student Life and Academic Enrichment and an adjunct professor. A native of Williamson, NY, Matt holds an MPA from Cleveland State University and a BA in communication studies/public communication from Cedarville. He lives in Louisville, KY, with his wife Stephanie and two young Daughters.
Tatum Preston
Director of Research
Tatum Preston leads CarterBaldwin’s research team. After earning a master’s degree from the University of Alabama’s School of Library and Information Studies, Tatum joined the Birmingham Museum of Art. She conducted fundraising research in the Museum’s development department before assuming the role of Library Director. After moving to Atlanta in 2014, Tatum joined a corporate archival agency, where she led a broad team of archivists across all client sectors. Tatum holds certifications in both diversity and internet recruiting.
