Seedbed’s Must-Read Book of the Summer

Published Date: June 1, 2017

If you are like us, then you are probably looking at your calendar in shock that it is already June 1st.  For many, the summer months will hold relaxing vacations or trips to the pool with your family or friends. For others, summer might be filled with some less-than-relaxing moments of adjusting to new schedules.  Regardless of which scenario you find yourself in this summer, there is a common theme in all of our lives: the need to recharge and refocus on our important work in our families and our communities

That’s where our Must-Read Book of the Summer comes in!

As the church in North America trends toward a casual, cultural expression of Christianity, a surprising thing is happening. Instead of becoming more relevant, it’s becoming less.

In By Signs and Wonders: How the Holy Spirit Grows the Church, Steve Elliott takes a close look at evangelism.  How did the Good News of Jesus Christ spread in the years following Jesus’s life?  Why has the recent rise of friendship/lifestyle evangelism fallen so short of producing disciples?

As you’ll see in these pages, the fast-growing denominations and local churches around the world today are far more reliant on a strategy apart from friendship/lifestyle evangelism. This is the focus of this book, to provide laity and Christian leaders with a critically important insight in how to more effectively evangelize a lost and dying world.

So what would it look like to choose to settle in with a book instead of a TV?  To set aside some time this summer to do something just for you, that in turn impacts those around you.  That is our challenge (and hope) for you this summer.

And in case you need an extra push, By Signs and Wonders will be 30% this month with use of code SIGNS30 at checkout.
