Kalas Village opened on the Kentucky campus in the spring of 2011 to house 100 families. This spring, we will be completing construction on an additional 50 units. The village is built to foster community among the families, which Asbury Seminary values as a key component to the overall development of our students.
Currently, the village consists of unfurnished 2BR/1.5 Bath, 3 BR/2 Bath, and a limited number of 4BR/3 Bath units. All units provide a living room, dining room, and kitchen including a range, oven, microwave, refrigerator, garbage disposal, and dishwasher. All units host washer and dryer hookups as well. A limited number of fully furnished units are available for international students.
The units are all electric featuring geothermal heating and cooling for extremely efficient comfort control and very low utility costs. Families will be responsible for heating and water bills only. Each townhouse has bamboo hard wood floors throughout, with exception to the bathrooms and kitchen, which are protected with ceramic tile.
Storage rooms are provided on the back porch of each townhouse. Several parking areas are positioned throughout the development. The community has dumpsters in place for families to dispose of household garbage. Mailboxes are placed among the units so the mailing address is the same as the physical address.
Pricing of each unit per month:
2 bedroom $530
3 bedroom $630
4 bedroom $730
