As part of the Asbury Project, students at Asbury Seminary and Asbury University have the opportunity to enter the Student Business Plan Competition. Each plan must solve a problem, define the target audience, explain the unique business opportunity, and be a catalyst for social change. Entry deadline is October 12.

Winners of the Business Plan Competition will be awarded funds to execute their idea. The competition awards a total of $10,000 in prizes–$3,000 for one grand prize winner, $2,000 for two first-place winners and $1,500 for two second-place winners. The students use their winnings to launch their businesses and are mentored by Asbury Seminary and Asbury University faculty and local business people.

In addition, artists from Christians in the Visual Arts (CIVA) have partnered with six of last year’s entrepreneurs to create original pieces for an art exhibit. Making Goods is on display October 3-November 14 at Asbury University.
