The Career and Calling Center helps Asbury Seminary students discern, prepare for, and thrive in their calling by providing mentoring, internship matching, and employment placement, with the goal of expanding tools, resources, and referrals that aid in vocational formation.
The Career and Calling Center also benefits alumni, churches, and employers. Asbury Seminary alumni can become mentors, advertise jobs, and search for new job opportunities. Churches and employers can advertise jobs and recruit students.
The Career and Calling Center recognizes the need for preparation in practical career and ministry skills. It also acknowledges that those in ministry need support, continuing education, personal growth, and spiritual formation. I believe those who have journeyed before and those currently journeying have something to offer each other. A life of ministry faces many challenges. Yet, through intentionality with Christ and others, we can gain clarity in our callings and resilience in living them out.
The Career and Calling Center is a new initiative with exciting plans. In addition to current opportunities, it is working to offer Individualized Vocational Formation, coaching, career counseling referrals, Zoom recruiting, and vocational development resources through tailored content.
