SACS Commission on Colleges Accreditation
Asbury Theological Seminary is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award degrees at the master’s and doctoral levels. Asbury Theological Seminary also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. ATS Accreditation
Asbury Theological Seminary is hosting a comprehensive evaluation visit for reaffirmation of accreditation by the ATS Commission on Accrediting on February 9-12, 2025. The purpose of this visit is to verify that the school meets all applicable Commission Standards of Accreditation. Comments regarding how well the school meets those standards and/or generally demonstrates educational quality may be sent to accrediting@ats.edu at least two weeks before the visit. Comments may also or instead be sent in writing to the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment, Rev. Jess Gray at jess.gray@asburyseminary.edu. All comments will be shared with the onsite evaluation committee.
The Seminary is also accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada, and the following degree programs are approved:

CACREP
The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), has granted accreditation to the following programs in the Counseling Department at Asbury Theological Seminary: M.A. in Mental Health Counseling and M.A. in Marriage and Family Counseling.
