DISCIPLESHIP/FAMILY LIFE PASTOR AT FAITHBRIDGE CHURCH (FRANKLINSVILLE, WI)

POSITION PURPOSE

Under the direction of the Senior Pastor and in harmony with the mission statement and policies of Faithbridge Church, the Discipleship/Family Life pastor is responsible for creating an active small group ministry at Faithbridge, providing pastoral leadership to the Millennial/Gen Z Ministry age-level, supervision of the Kid and Student Life staff, and creating a marriage/parenting ministry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Discipleship

  • Create small groups based on a variety of factors including but not limited to stage of life, intergenerational, common interests.
  • Recruit leaders, equip them, and follow-up with them.
  • Assist with short-term all-church small group emphases
  • Work with staff to provide spiritual growth opportunities to all ages in Faithbridge

Family Life

Millennial / Gen Z Ministry (ages 25-40)

  • Provide primary pastoral leadership for this age group.
  • Develop small groups, fellowship events, & retreats aimed deepening connections within this age group.
  • Make Faithbridge “the place to be” for the millennials and Gen Z.

Kid/Student Life

  • Supervise Kid Life and Student Life staff.
  • Build community within the teams and coordinate common ministries.

Parenting Ministry

  • In coordination with Kid Life and Student Life, offer parenting classes or seminars at least twice a year.

General

  • Participate in staff planning meetings; read and discuss books as directed by the Senior Pastor.
  • Staff supervision involves activities related to special events.
  • Attend worship services weekly and assist in worship as needed.
  • Preach as scheduled in worship meetings.
  • Assume other responsibilities as deemed appropriate.

FULL-TIME DIRECTOR OF YOUTH MINISTRY AT TRINITY METHODIST CHURCH (RUSTON, LA)

At Trinity Youth, we desire to build a community of discipleship in the Wesleyan tradition and provide students in Grades 7-12 with an atmosphere of encouragement and support. To reach this goal, the director of youth ministries is expected to develop and implement a comprehensive approach to youth ministry and serve as a spiritual leader and role model. In collaboration with the pastoral leadership at Trinity, this comprehensive approach is based on the understanding of the primary task of youth ministry to: love youth where they are; encourage youth to develop their relationship with God; provide them with opportunities for nurture and growth; challenge them to respond to God’s call to serve in their communities and world.

PROFESSOR OF HISTORICAL AND SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY AT MCMASTER DIVINITY COLLEGE (HAMILTON, ON, CANADA)

McMaster Divinity College invites nominations and applications for a regular, annually renewed appointment as Professor of Historical and Systematic Theology (full-time, ranked).

This scholar should be able to teach a range of classes in Christian theology, including systematic and historical theology, and supervise students at the doctoral level. This scholar must also have a publication record to support their level of seniority. Mid- and senior-level applicants are encouraged to apply, but others will be considered. The start date is July 1, 2024, or soon thereafter. The endowed Howard and Shirley Bentall Chair in Evangelical Thought may be awarded to the appropriate candidate.

McMaster Divinity College, a premier seminary and graduate school located in Hamilton, Ontario, develops effective evangelical Christian leaders for the church, academy, and society. Applicants should have a PhD/ThD or equivalent in a relevant field. Experience in a free church tradition and awareness of the Canadian context are highly desirable. Candidates must be supportive of MDC’s Baptist heritage, be able to sign the MDC statement of faith, and be active in a local church during their time of employment. Teaching responsibilities currently include five one-semester courses per year and dissertation supervision. Collegial and innovative candidates are sought who will be able to teach in MDivMTSMADPT, and PhD degree programs. Applicants should have demonstrated proficiency in teaching via multiple modalities (in-person, synchronous online, and asynchronous online) and at graduate level.

Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the mission of McMaster Divinity College and its evangelical focus, especially sharing the purpose of educating men and women for Christian leadership and ministry at all levels. YOUTH MINISTER AT EMMANUEL CHURCH (CARMI, IL)

PRINCIPAL FUNCTION: The Youth Minister is primarily responsible for shepherding the needs of students grade 6-12. The Youth Minister is to develop a comprehensive discipleship program of education and activities in an atmosphere of spiritual growth, by planning, conducting and evaluating the on-going student ministry. The Youth Minister’s strategy will fall in line with the mission, vision, and strategy of Emmanuel Church in congruence with the Senior Pastor.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of ensuring the spiritual growth and development of students grades 6 through 12 . This includes preparing and preaching the Sunday Youth Services, leadership of weekly programs and periodic special events (camps, conferences, trips, service projects, etc.).
  • Provide overall theological direction in accordance with the beliefs of Emmanuel Church
  • Develop student and adult youth leaders
  • Model strong and relational Christian leadership to the youth of the church
  • Plan and lead weekly discipleship and outreach/evangelism that is contextual and age-specific. This includes choosing of curriculum, teaching, finding teachers, evaluating the students needs/responses, follow-up, etc.
  • Personally witness to students.
  • The Youth Pastor will work in cooperation with the Pastor and Youth Council in ministering to the student’s family as we strive to build within our church family strong marriages, parent-child relationships and families who love God.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Meet with and report to Senior Pastor and Church leaders.
  • Carry out other Pastoral duties as required in the life of the church as determined by the Senior Pastor
  • Ability to preach during Sunday services as needed or determined by the Senior Pastor.
  • To assist, when able, the Senior Pastor with visitation of members and prospective members.
  • All staff members should plan to participate in church wide events and lend their assistance and support to the total church program.

YOUTH MINISTER AT WOODLAND METHODIST CHURCH (PIKE ROAD, AL)

PRINCIPAL FUNCTION

The Woodland Methodist Youth Minister is responsible for all youth ministry programs at Woodland.   The purpose of this position is to minister to students from grades 7-12 by evangelizing them, equipping them to become faithful disciples of Jesus Christ, and nurturing them in their faith.

REPORTS TO – the Senior Pastor.

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to)

  • Be familiar with The Transitional Book of Doctrines and Discipline for the Global Methodist Church
  • Devote no less than 40 hours of work per week to their ministry
  • Coordinate office hours with the Pastor
  • Promote the unity, direction and vision of Woodland by participating in staff and leadership meetings.
  • Participate in Sunday worship services, including Sunday School classes or worship services.
  • Oversee and develop youth Sunday School classes by recruiting and enlisting teachers and gathering/ordering curriculum.
  • Lead and teach Sunday and Wednesday night youth programming
  • Recruit youth from Woodland and the community to participate in youth ministry
  • Enlist and orient children from the confirmation into the youth ministry.
  • Develop and implement retreats, mission experiences, activities and other events to help youth grown in their relationship with Christ, sense of servanthood, discipleship and mission.
  • Oversee the youth budget
  • Develop youth leaders to minister to other youth
  • Recruit, train, direct and provide structure and support for volunteer youth mentors.
  • Set the calendar for youth activities and events.
  • Know the church’s Safe Sanctuaries policies and procedures and enforce them.
  • Provide clear weekly communications to youth and parents of events and activities (“Group Me” / Facebook, church news blasts, etc)
  •  Work to integrate youth into the life of the church by participating in  projects, missions and events
  • Be available to minister to youth and their parents as needed
  • Grow personal relationships and make weekly contact to all youth with phone calls, texts, snaps and visits to their school and/or sporting events / extra- curricular events.
  • Develop and encourage ties between youth of Woodland and other church youth groups.
  • Stay current with youth ministry practices by reading, researching &

attending youth leadership conferences.   Attend continuing education conferences, classes every year with a minimum of two CE programs annually at the direction of the senior pastor.

  • Collaborate with senior pastor to set goals each September to coordinate with budget for each upcoming year.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A deep personal faith in Jesus Christ and a passion for nurturing the spiritual growth of youth.
  • Bachelor’s degree in theology, ministry, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in youth ministry or a related role is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect and relate to youth from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with the capability to plan and execute engaging programs and events.
  • Creative and innovative mindset, always seeking new ways to engage and inspire youth in their faith journey.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team, as well as independently, to achieve ministry objectives.
  • Understanding and appreciation for the importance of family involvement in youth ministry.
  • Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check.

DIRECTOR OF STUDENT MINISTRIES AT MULDER CHURCH (WETUMPKA, AL)

Mulder Church is seeking our next full-time Director of Student Ministries to oversee the spiritual growth and development of students in grades 7-12. We are a Global Methodist Church in the fast-growing community of Redland in Wetumpka, AL. As our community is growing and changing, our church is also. PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Establishes and nurtures good working relationships with staff members and volunteer workers to promote a spirit of teamwork in the church.

  • Researches, evaluates, purchases and implements curriculum and other resource materials that will enhance the spiritual growth of students.

PASTOR AT SALIX BETHEL CHURCH (SALIX, PA)

The Pastor of the Salix Bethel Church will be committed to the word of God and his teachings. He/ She will be willing to preach, teach and defend them when they are contrary to worldly culture.

Minimum training and experience – Seminary degree /Christian College degree in theology or 10 years of ministry work as a church ordained pastor.

  1. He/ She will use Jesus’s model of leadership to be a Shepard, a servant, a steward and a visionary.
