HIGH SCHOOL DIRECTOR AT GOOD NEWS CHURCH (SANTA ROSA BEACH, FL)
POSITION TITLE: High School Ministry Director
DATE: February 2024

TIME COMMITMENT: Full-time, 40 hours a week
Help students and parents build their lives on the reality of Jesus by living out our values: Pursue God, Build Community, and Live Generously.
LEADERSHIP ROLES:
- Lead all High School Ministry & Programming.
- Recruit, equip, and deploy volunteers who assist in developing and growing students, parents, and the ministry.
- Build relationships with students and parents inside and outside of the Church.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead High School Ministry
- Develop and implement a discipleship path for high school students that builds their lives on the reality of Jesus so they are sent out as missionaries when they graduate from the ministry.
- Discern, develop, and teach weekly messages for high school gatherings as well as invest in others to serve on a teaching team.
- Oversee all weekly programming and events.
- Collaborate with the Next Gen Team to set the spiritual direction, key objectives, and goals for the Next Gen Ministry and, more specifically, high school ministry.
- Disciple the high school leadership team that sets the example for the rest of the Student Ministry and inspires others to participate.
- Provide creative thought and evaluate the high school ministry’s culture, strategy, and systems.
- Propose and manage the budget for the high school ministry, including budget planning, purchasing, receipts, and submitting related paperwork.
- Plan retreats & mission experiences that form students, leaders, and parents’ faith together.

- Create a recruiting process inviting the larger church to fulfill its call to raise students in Christ and point them toward spiritual maturity.
- Recruit, train, and develop Crew Leaders to serve each grade level, focusing on how these leaders relationally disciple their students.
- Recruit, train, and develop Crew Coaches that serve the various Crew Leaders.
- Build Relationships
- Build relationships with students and parents, knowing their names, stories, and faith journeys.
- Spend time with students on campus, at games, and other local events.
- Create training events for parents that inform and equip them to be the primary disciple-maker for their kids.

- Empower and incorporate students into the church’s life (volunteering in Worship, Connections, Kids, and Missions).

CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP LEADER AT UNIVERSITY CARILLON (GMC)
University Carillon (GMC) is a church community sent to help anyone and everyone become a follower of Jesus. We are located in Oviedo (East Orlando), Florida and right across the street from the University of Central Florida.
University Carillon has three weekend services; Traditional at 8:45, Contemporary at 10:00 and our Vessel Orlando service at 11:30. Our EPIC Student Ministry gathers together on Wednesday and Sunday nights in our Epic Center. Our Prodigal College Ministry also meets on Tuesday nights in the Epic Center.
We are looking for a full-time worship leader who can lead primarily for our Contemporary and Vessel services on Sunday mornings. Also assisting in the organization and development of all worship experiences (youth and college) at UC.

DIRECTOR OF FAMILY, YOUTH, AND CHILDREN’S MINISTRY AT RIVER’S EDGE METHODIST CHURCH (SPENCER, IA)
Job and Church Brief: River’s Edge Methodist Church is seeking an individual who nurtures a Strong Christian life to provide vision and coordination of ministry to families, youth, and children (ages 0-18). This person generates new ideas, effectively copes with change and uncertainty, practices integrity and transparent communication, enjoys working hard, and makes connections in the congregation to serve families, children and youth in a variety of roles. Essential Functions:
- Imagine, develop, and communicate a multi-year programming plan and curriculum scope and sequence that aligns with River’s Edge vision and values; assess and evaluate success, failures, and relevance of programming and adjust accordingly.
- Initiate, build and maintain authentic relationships with children, teens, parents, and volunteers.
- Recruit, develop, train, and appreciate a team of adult volunteers to serve.
- Imagine, design, and coordinate regular programming for ages 0-18 including researching, choosing, and preparing age appropriate Biblically based curricula; oversee volunteers in accordance with our Policies.
- Design, schedule, organize, implement, and attend events, service projects, retreats, and mission trips, work from a team approach with other staff.
- Help parents and guardians inspire curiosity and spiritual interest in their children; equip parents and guardians with resources to be the primary influence of faith formation.
- Foster congregational awareness and involvement with children, youth and family ministry through coaching and experimenting with intergenerational programming opportunities and worship service involvement.
- Establish a safe, and welcoming environment; foster discipleship, encourage thinking and sharing, and be aware and responsive regarding emotional and mental health among children and teens.
- Provide targeted, effective, and consistent communication and promotion of activities including impact stories to students, parents and congregation via email, monthly newsletter, bulletin boards, church website, social media, etc.
- Experiment, recruit, equip and train adults for mentorship as well as match students with adults
- Explore, develop, and utilize peer training to develop leadership among high school students.

ASSOCIATE PASTOR AT FIRST GRAPEVINE METHODIST CHURCH (GRAPEVINE, TX)
Organization Summary
First Grapevine Methodist Church in Grapevine, Texas, is a multi-generational congregation that experiences and shares God’s love in our community and around the world. As an independent Methodist church, our mission is to follow Christ’s commands to make disciples, care for others, and grow in our personal faith.
Our church campus, in historic downtown Grapevine, is a vibrant community of faith that extends well beyond our walls. We are an active campus during the week with growing Family Ministries, extensive Music Ministry, strong Stephen Ministry, and a thriving Women’s ministry. Bible Study groups meet weekly on and off campus and there are monthly opportunities to serve our community.
On Sunday mornings, we have two traditional worship services, one contemporary worship service, and a dedicated Sunday School hour for adults and children. Our current weekly worship attendance is 300-400 in-person participants and around 300 online participants.
At First Grapevine, we believe in getting people involved to build strong relationships, serve others, and know God. We encourage local and global outreach through four Village ministries. Our local ministry within Grapevine focuses on developing relationships with and serving alongside our neighbors. We have strong partnerships with the City of Grapevine, our exemplary school district GCISD, and the Grapevine Police Department. Globally, we support missionaries in Kenya, a sister Methodist church in Latvia, and the Methodist Children’s Home in Costa Rica. Our global missions provide an opportunity for staff and the congregation to travel to these locations and participate directly in ministry and relationship building.
Role Summary
The Associate Pastor plays a critical role in the church. From sharing the Word of God through sermons and teachings to facilitating experiences for people of all ages to explore and strengthen their faith, this is a true opportunity to serve God. By living an authentic spiritual life with purpose, the Associate Pastor will develop strong relationships with church members, fellow staff members, guests, and the community. The Associate Pastor will help lead our church in following Christ and making disciples, particularly with respect to reaching families and young adults.
The Associate Pastor reports directly to the Senior Pastor and works closely with church laity leaders.
This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of four weekdays, Sundays, and religious holidays including Christmas and Holy Week. Most of the work is in-person on the church campus. Given both our local and global reach, there are opportunities to work and travel beyond Grapevine.
Responsibilities (not all inclusive)
- Preach on Sunday mornings (at least 40 Sundays per year). A schedule will be determined between the Senior Pastor and the Associate Pastor as to who will preach at which services.
- Administer the sacraments of the Methodist Church (communion and baptism).
- Perform weddings and funerals and lead or assist confirmations and professions of faith.
- Teach or assist with Bible Studies or small groups.
- Provide pastoral care while working closely with volunteers and our Stephen Ministry team.
- Collaborate and support our ministry leaders including but not limited to those who lead discipleship, evangelism, and mission opportunities as well as church leadership committees.
- Represent the Church in the community and at events.
- Adapt to change and be open to new ideas or opportunities.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Master of Divinity degree from a Christian theological seminary. Educational training in the Methodist tradition and/or work experience in a Methodist church is preferred, but not required.
- Experience: At least five years of work experience as a church pastor is preferred, but not required.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills. Effective at giving and receiving constructive feedback.
- Leadership: Proven experience in balancing the roles of a leader among staff and the congregation and a team player. Willing to stand up for what is right and able to make tough faith-based decisions. Demonstrate a sense of urgency.
- Relationships: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of fostering relationships with people from different walks of life, especially young families. Experienced with forming community connections and representing a church well in the community.
- Ministry Mindset: Be a spiritually mature believer in a vital, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Seek learning opportunities, spiritual development, and continuing education as needed to enhance relationships and effectiveness. Be passionate about helping others to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and spreading the good news to as many people as possible.
- Physical Requirements: Able to go up and down stairs, stand for long periods of time, and lift up to 35 pounds. Valid driver’s license and able to travel both domestically and internationally.

DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN’S MINISTRY AT MIDDLETOWN UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
Job Summary
Develop and implement a vision for all programs, activities, and educational aspects related to Children’s Ministry ages birth through 5th grade in order to provide a safe, Christian environment that encourages all children to learn about and to develop a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ; offers opportunities for multi-generational participation in socials, fellowship, community service, and outreach; and encourages and equips parents to develop a biblical worldview in their children.
Essential Functions
- Leads the Children’s Ministry including review of current programs, initiation of new and innovative programs and oversight of Sunday, weekday, on-going, seasonal, and special programs.
- Nurtures, resources, equips, and shepherds a network of spiritually gifted leaders, mentors, and apprentices who can disciple children toward spiritual maturity.
- Chooses and prepares curriculum for each program and age level that progressively deepens children’s spiritual development.
- Creates environments, activities, and programs for each age group that will facilitate learning and encourage spiritual growth.
- Provides care for children and families in the church in cooperation with pastoral staff.
- Develops a strategy for reaching and assimilating new children and families into the life of the church.

Minimum Qualifications:

PASTOR AT FIRST CHURCH OF COTULLA (TX)
First Church of Cotulla (FCC), an Independent church in South Texas is seeking a full-time Pastor to lead a small but hard working congregation committed to the Wesley expression of Christianity. Originally founded in 1881, it has faithfully served the city of Cotulla and La Salle County for over 140 years. The gorgeous Sanctuary recently underwent a major renovation along with the rest of the church facilities. A beautiful rock Parsonage built in 2011 and benefit package are also provided.
