Chaplain Rick Givens (1988, MDiv) has been serving in the USAFR as a chaplain for 24 years now. He has just been promoted to Colonel. He will be moving his duty station to Space Command in Colorado Springs.
Rev. James Harnish (1972, MDiv) After 22 years of service as senior pastor at Hyde Park United Methodist Church in Tampa, the Rev. James Harnish preached his final sermon on June 8, 2014. He has retired from full-time ministry to spend more time with his family. Harnish began his career at Trinity United Methodist Church in DeLand in 1972. He then led churches in Crescent City and Orlando before coming to Hyde Park, transforming it into one of the most influential churches in the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church.
