The Asbury Seminary Post Office and Campus Store!
In 2013, after serving the Seminary for 19 years, Cokesbury closed all of its retail stores across the country. Tree of Life Bookstores was selected to operate the Bookstore, which they did, while also providing their Textbook Butler service to students on all campuses. After just one year, Tree of Life closed the physical Book
store, but agreed to continue with the Textbook Butler service. While the Seminary had no desire to operate a full-service bookstore due to the changing nature of student book acquisition, there remained a need to provide students, staff, faculty and alumni with quality, branded merchandise. Thanks to collaboration with the Office of Student Services, the Campus Store joined the Seminary Post Office and, after some renovations, both relocated to the Student Center and opened in August of 2014.
After a year of on-campus operation, it was determined that a full-service webstore would extend services to alumni, as well as students on the Florida, Memphis, and ExL campuses.
The Campus Store offers a wide variety of products, including T-shirts, polos, hoodies, ties, hats, mugs, umbrellas, padfolios, and yes, even the John Wesley Bobblehead. Several “uniquely Asbury” items are currently in the works, including a miniature reproduction of the Estes Chapel “Christos Window.”
