PASTOR/DIRECTOR OF STUDENT MINISTRIES AT THOMSON FIRST METHODIST CHURCH (THOMSON, GA)
Thomson First Methodist Church (a regional congregation of the Global Methodist Church located in Thomson, GA 20 miles west of Augusta, GA) is seeking a full- time pastor/director of student ministries. The successful candidate would preferably have a college degree in a related field and some years of experience. Commitment to historic, orthodox Christianity and the Wesleyan/Methodist tradition is highly important. The position reports to the senior pastor and is responsible for leading and directing all aspects of the church’s ministry with students (grades 6-12). The current youth group averages 50-60 in Sunday evening attendance during the school year and is a diverse blend of both churched and non-churched students. Compensation includes health insurance stipend, reimbursable expenses and a house. RECTOR/SENIOR PASTOR AT THE MISSION ANGLICAN CHURCH (PENSACOLA, FL)
Appointment and Tenure: The Pastor is nominated by a Vestry-designated Search Committee, called by the Vestry in consultation with the Parish and approval of the Bishop, and will serve in accordance with the Church By-laws for an indefinite tenure.
Purpose: The Pastor will serve as the primary leader of the church, training the Ministry Team leaders to do the work of ministry, while being advised by the elected Vestry. The Pastor is responsible for spiritual education, programs, sacramental duties, use of the facility, and hiring and firing of all paid and volunteer staff. With these responsibilities, the Pastor has full authority over each of these areas, and will run the day to day business of the church within the budgetary limitations provided by the Vestry. The Pastor is accountable to the members of the church and the oversight of the Bishop.
Pastor Expectations:
- The Pastor will recruit and coordinate Ministry Team Leaders for the specific purpose of accomplishing the Vision (Love Life Together) in accordance with our Core Values (Three-streams Ministry including Word, Sacrament, and Spirit).
- The Pastor will coordinate the efforts of the congregation in the realization of our Vision through lay-driven and lay-lead programs.
- The Pastor will meet with the Elders and Ministries Team annually during January to revisit the Vision of the Parish and establish a comprehensive plan replete with goals and measurable objectives for each area of ministry.
- The Pastor will meet with the Vestry at least once per month.
- The Pastor will be the primary spiritual leader of the Parish and determine matters of doctrine and theology. He is ultimately responsible for all teaching and preaching within the Parish to ensure orthodoxy and alignment with the 39 articles and the Solemn Oath and Declaration.
- The Pastor shall recommend to the Elders an annual budget and shall supervise expenditures.
Annual Goals:
(1) Increase average attendance increase 10% annually.
(2) Recruit and train Ministry Team Leaders to include the Invite Team, The First Impressions Team, the Worship Arts Team, Small Group Team, Care and Follow-up Team, and Youth and Children’s Ministry.
(3) Conduct stewardship training and encourage increased fund-raising annually.
(4) Prepare an annual budget proposal to the Vestry usually in October.

- Work with the Life Group Pastor and lay pastors to train and equip lay leadership in pastoral care
- Identify, train, and equip emerging leaders
- Provide pre-marriage counseling and other types of counseling to congregation as needed
- Teach (preach) at respective campus or other venues within the CC family as needed.

- Identify, train, and equip emerging leaders in the Christ Church lay pastor model with special emphasis on “people belonging before believing”.
- Provide opportunities to college-age and young adults to connect through social events, bridge events and need based gatherings like “Relationships 101”, “Why marry?”, pre-marriage and marriage workshops and utilizing life group curriculum based on sermon series.
- Collaborate with Life Group Pastor, LG Administrator and Campus Pastors to cast vision for support of College Age and Young Adult Discipleship at all campuses of Christ Church.

DIRECTOR OF YOUTH MINISTRY AT EDGEWATER CHURCH (PORT CHARLOTTE, FL)
Position Title: Director of Youth Ministry
Position Reports To: Senior Pastor

Principal focus: (Primary purpose of the position).
Perform, oversee, and coordinate all aspects of the youth ministry including, but not limited to, middle school & high school Youth Group, Sunday School, trips, and activities. Encourage, inspire, and nurture youth and their families to know Christ, grow as disciples, and show Christ’s love to others.
Regular duties & responsibilities: (Major duties of the position).
Administration:
- Develop and implement a yearly calendar of youth events coordinated with the church calendar, and a well-planned, balanced youth program.
- Administer and be responsible for the safety of all youth, leaders, and volunteers at all youth activities and events. Adhere to Edgewater Church’s Safe Sanctuaries Policy.
- Develop and maintain the budget and expenditures for the youth ministry.
- Maintain an accurate student/family database with current medical/parental release forms.
- Pre-schedule all activities in their entirety, including post-activity plans. Communicate information in a timely fashion to staff, families, and youth through promotional materials, mailings, social media, church website, and/or bulletin on all youth-related issues/events.
- Plan and coordinate all retreats, trips, conferences, and camps, including logistics, budgeting, and record-keeping.
- Oversee the Assistant Youth Director.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and other applicable meetings.
- Maintain regularly posted office hours.
- Work in conjunction with other church ministries.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Discipleship:
- Lead weekly meetings of middle and high school students, with solid Biblical teaching that is both relevant and challenging.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of Sunday School and small group teaching materials.
- Recruit, train, and develop adult volunteers who have a passion for serving and shepherding youth. Develop student leaders within the youth ministry.
- Provide general spiritual and emotional care for the youth in this ministry.
- Provide opportunities for youth to engage in outreach and missions.
- Encourage, involve, and integrate youth into all areas of church life.
Requirements/Qualifications:
