Seedbed Update – February 2015
Are you ready for spring and summer Bible studies?
Seedbed has you covered with three major (and brand new) resources ideal for Sunday school classes, weekly small groups, and/or church-wide studies.
OneBoo
k: Invitation
Forgive us if this seems obvious, but it can be really difficult to drive home important biblical and theological ideas to a congregation or small group that lacks a basic understanding of the fundamentals. Sadly, this is a dilemma churches are increasingly facing, and unfortunately, limited resources exist that help build a strong foundation for your community.
OneBook: Invitation is Seedbed’s answer to this common struggle. The Invitation study is a ten-week journey led by Dr. Brian Russell, Old Testament professor at Asbury Theological Seminary, that lays a foundation for Bible study and sets the stage for further group exploration through the rest of the OneBook series.
Each week offers 30 minutes of video followed by group discussion around a prepared set of weekly lessons produced in a 144-page study book. It will be ideal for weekday Bible study sessions requiring approximately 90 minutes of meeting time.

The Epic o
f Eden
Our knowledge of the Old Testament can feel like a grab bag of people, books, events and ideas. InThe Epic of Eden, Dr. Sandra Richter brilliantly communicates a history of God’s redeeming grace, weaving together a story that runs from the Garden of Eden to the garden of the New Jerusalem.
Dr. Richter combines workbook and video teaching to bring a fresh understanding to the history of the ancient Near East, orienting participants in time, geography, culture, redemption, and relevance to life — all while building the faith of the church without “dumbing down” the scripture. The Epic of Eden video study is ideal for church groups wanting a meaty study of THE biblical text, as well as anyone eager for a strategic grasp of the dramatic, sweeping story of the Old Testament and how it relates to God’s activity in the present.

Encounter the Spirit
When we were filming Encounter the Spirit, we inexplicably lost one of the video sessions not once, but twice. If you ask us, that’s indicative of a study the Enemy doesn’t want to see get into the hands of the people of God.
The Encounter Series by Carolyn Moore consists of three separate eight-week Bible studies and videos that teach and encourage a daily walk with the Trinity.
The first of the series, Encounter Jesus, explores eight passages from across the four gospels, each highlighting a key facet of Jesus’s life and work. Our newest release, Encounter the Spirit, continues the series as Moore explores the person and work of the Holy Spirit. The final study, Encounter the Father, will be released in late 2015. Each of the studies from the Encounter Series is an outstanding resource for personal, small group, or church-wide use.
