Cost of Attendance is a total estimate of expenses for one year. The amounts below are an average costs to attend Asbury Seminary and are used to help determine each student’s eligibility for financial aid, such as scholarships and loans. Very few students pay the full cost of attendance as 80% of the student body receives some type of financial aid.

To receive priority scholarship consideration, the Asbury Seminary Scholarship Application must be submitted by April 1. Late applicants will be considered based on the availability of aid.
Asbury Seminary is one of the most affordable, top-ranked seminaries in the United States. We’re committed to helping you graduate from seminary, not only prepared to serve, but also with minimal debt.
Each year, we award over 400 scholarships based on academic achievement, degree focus, financial need and vocational goals. We currently enroll more than 1600 students, and eighty percent of our student body receives some type of financial assistance.

Students are encouraged to seek opportunities of support through their local church, denomination, conference, and other networks prior to borrowing student loans.
Beginning May 1, 2027, Asbury Theological Seminary will no longer process federal (Title IV) student loans. In light of this, students are encouraged to thoughtfully consider and pursue alternative sources of support when planning for their education.
If loans are necessary prior to May 1, 2027, we encourage students to review their personal budget to avoid borrowing in excess.
