Texas Woodlands Partnership

We are excited to announce a new ministry partnership between Asbury Theological Seminary and The Woodlands Methodist Church in Houston, TX. Together, we are working to expand access to theological education and equip more Spirit-filled leaders for service in the Church and the world.

Flexible hybrid theological education rooted in the life of the local church.

“This partnership creates a unique opportunity for students to remain deeply connected to the life of the local church while they learn and grow. They don’t have to choose between ministry experience and seminary formation. Through this partnership, they have the opportunity to do both together.”

Ministry Preparation Without Relocating

Earn a trusted seminary degree while remaining connected to your church, ministry, career, and family in Texas.

Ministry-Centered Learning

The Master of Arts in Christian Ministries (MACM) prepares students for practical ministry leadership through strong biblical, theological, and ministry foundations. Designed for those actively serving in the Church, the program equips students to lead, disciple, and nurture faith communities with wisdom and confidence.

Flexible Hybrid Format

Our hybrid format combines the flexibility of online learning with the relational connection of in-person community. Coursework is primarily completed online and includes a two-and-a-half-day in-person class experience held at The Woodlands Methodist Church, our Kentucky campus, or one of our extension sites.

Remain Rooted in Your Local Church Community

Continue serving and growing within your local church while pursuing your degree. The Woodlands partnership allows you to immediately apply what you are learning within the context of your ministry, leadership, and community relationships.

Generous scholarship opportunities

Generous scholarships are available for newly enrolled students in the Master of Arts in Christian Ministries (MACM) program who select The Woodlands location on their admission application.

Scholarships are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so early inquiry and application are encouraged.
