PROFESSOR OF INTERCULTURAL STUDIES AND HUMANITARIAN AND DISASTER RELIEF AT JOHN BROWN UNIVERSITY (SILOAM SPRINGS, AR)

This is an undergraduate faculty position in the Department of Bible and Ministry. Responsibilities include teaching Intercultural Studies and Humanitarian and Disaster Relief courses for majors and in the university core curriculum where appropriate, student advising, and normal committee assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Intercultural Studies, Humanitarian and Disaster Relief or a closely related field
  • A committed follower of Jesus Christ
  • Ability to teach undergraduate courses
  • Ability to contribute to the mission and vision of the institution in the department and more broadly at the institution

  • Experience working with both domestic and international humanitarian or disaster relief efforts.

A competitive salary exists, which will be commensurate with training and/or experience. DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH MINISTRIES AT LEWISBURG FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH (LEWISBURG, TN)

Objective:

To plan, develop, and implement programs for all Youth and Children (K-12) at Lewisburg First and the surrounding community, that encourages them to become disciples of Jesus Christ. It is our goal that each youth experiences the love and grace of God, that encourages growth in the practice of faith and understanding of Scripture so that they are equipped to be faithful disciples while in school and beyond.

Reports to: This position reports to the Pastor and is accountable to the Pastor and Staff Parish Relations Committee of Lewisburg First UMC.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this full-time role will be a reliable, strong communicate who keeps parents, students and the congregation informed and engaged. Growing the youth program is the chief priority – building meaningful relationships with students, parents and community partners.

  • Must be a fully committed follower of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
  • Must be able to work as a team member with other Lewisburg First UMC staff.
  • Be able to develop teams of congregation members to further Children Ministries and Youth Ministries at Lewisburg First UMC.

  • Have a college degree or similar experience.
  • Prefer candidates who have 2 years of experience working in youth ministry in a local church and good knowledge of children and youth development.

  • Must be at least 23 years of age to comply with our Safe Sanctuaries Policy and Procedures. The person selected must complete Safe Sanctuary Training and Boundaries and Sexual Ethics Training provided by the TN Annual Conference within the first month (courses are available online).

Responsibilities:

  • Pray for the children and youth of Lewisburg First UMC and their families.
  • Teach and lead students in Christ-centered spiritual formation and help understand and embody the unique doctrine and practices of Methodism, disciple youth in evangelism and ministry opportunities, such as volunteer opportunities in the church, service opportunities in the community, and mission trips.
  • Lead a mid-wee, youth program and Sunday School children’s lesson.
  • Provide a safe place for students to explore their questions and share their challenges in faith and in life.
  • Build relationships with the students and their families to understand the individual and collective needs of the children and youth at Lewisburg First UMC and in the Lewisburg community. Develop a loving and supportive community where students and parents can have fun, be encouraged and share spiritual experiences.
  • Be responsible for the recruitment of Sunday School teachers for children and youth classes and teach Sunday School when necessary.
  • Plan curriculum for Bible studies, small groups, and mission projects.
  • Work with the Pastor as needed regarding Confirmation.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and youth about youth and children ministries at Lewisburg First UMC through (but not limited to) social media, newsletter, bulletins, calendars, and other appropriate means.
  • Ensure that all youth and children programs of Lewisburg First UMC are conducted in an environment fully compliant with Lewisburg First UMC Safe Santuary Policy & Procedures.
  • Lead the Youth and Children Ministry Teams. These teams support the Director of Children and Youth Ministries in developing, planning, and implementing youth and children ministries at Lewisburg First UMC.
  • Prepare annual budgets for youth and children ministries at Lewisburg First UMC for submission to the Finance Committee during the annual budgeting process.
  • Secure approval of the Pastor, Finance Chair and Administrative Council for any un-budgeted expenditures prior to committing to the purchase.
  • Communicate all issues and concerns to the Pastor in a timely manner.
  • Other short term duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 40 hours/week
  • Attend Worship Services at Lewisburg First UMC and assist in worship as needed
  • Attend all staff meetings
  • Oversee all youth and children’s functions/events at Lewisburg First UMC

How This Position is Evaluated:

  • The Director of Children and Youth Ministries will receive a semi-annual evaluation from the Pastor and the Staff Parish Relations Committee.

STUDENT PASTOR AT FIRST METHODIST MONROE (NORTHERN LOUISIANA)

“Becoming people of Christ” is the grounding mission of First Methodist Monroe, in Northern Louisiana. With 750 people meeting regularly, this committed and approachable church family has found a way to make a bigger church feel personable. Each Sunday, they offer 5 worship services, providing distinct worship gathers with a distinct style and pastoral care. and is desiring to reach more students for Christ. The church is approaching its bicentennial anniversary and has remained a faithful Christian presence in the region. Theologically more conservative, Pastor Brian Mercer and the leadership team, led First Methodist Monroe in a parting from the UMC and the church has experienced consistent growth over the past four years. Monroe, is the second largest metropolitan area in North Louisiana. Regionally, there is growth on the horizon. An AI data center campus, 30 miles east of Monroe is being developed and has been called the largest private capital investments in Louisiana’s history. First Methodist Monroe is seeking the right Student candidate to lead the intern team, the faithful volunteers, and to build a strong and thriving Student Ministry. The students at First Methodist Monroe meet on Sunday mornings for a Sunday School hour, Sunday night for large group and small group, and on Wednesday nights for a classic youth group gathering. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of student ministry experience with the track record of building a highly relational student ministry. They will lead with high character, shepherd people well, and equip teams for the glory of God.

ASSOCIATE MINISTER TO YOUNG ADULTS AT ST PAUL CHURCH (COLUMBUS, GA)

Job Overview

The Associate Minister to Young Adults provides pastoral leadership, spiritual formation, and relational discipleship for adults ages 18–35. This role emphasizes cultivating a vibrant network of Christ-centered small groups, fostering spiritual growth, and helping young adults deepen their connection to Christ, the church, and one another. The Associate Minister will also assist in preaching, teaching, and providing pastoral care within a Wesleyan theological framework.

Job Details

Primary Responsibilities

1. Small Group Formation & Discipleship (Primary Focus)

  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive small-group strategy for young adults, including recruitment, training, and ongoing support of group leaders.
  • Create pathways for new young adults to find connection, belonging, and discipleship through small groups.
  • Provide regular coaching, resourcing, and encouragement to leaders to ensure healthy, multiplying groups.
  • Develop or curate biblically solid, Wesleyan-aligned discipleship materials.

  • Minimum of 2 years ministry experience, preferably in young adult, discipleship, or small-group ministry.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with young adults and lead them spiritually.
  • Strong communication skills in teaching, preaching, and interpersonal settings.

SENIOR PASTOR AT PORT COMMUNITY CHURCH (PORT REPUBLIC, NJ)

Port Community Church, located in the heart of Port Republic, New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Pastor to lead its congregation with spiritual guidance, vision, and care. Founded with a rich history of faith and community engagement, the church is poised for its next chapter of growth and ministry. We are prayerfully search for a pastor who aligns with our mission to foster a loving, biblically grounded community.

The Opportunity

The Senior Pastor will serve as the spiritual leader of Port Community Church, guiding the congregation of 100-120 worshiping on Sunday morning with a deep commitment to biblical teaching and pastoral care. This role offers the chance to build meaningful relationships, lead diverse ministries, and inspire a congregation eager for continued spiritual development. The ideal candidate will embrace the unique culture of Port Republic and contribute to the church’s legacy of faith.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Spiritual Leadership: A man called to preach, with a proven track record of delivering sermons rooted in the Bible, filled with the fruit of the Spirit, and reflecting a love for God, children, and music.
  • Character and Qualities: Must be friendly, approachable, sincere, trustworthy, kind, humble, and possess a good sense of humor. A strong marriage and good family life are highly valued.
  • Experience: Preference for someone with leadership experience, ideally with significant pastoral experience. Familiarity with Port Republic’s community is a plus.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Preaching and Teaching: Deliver biblically sound sermons weekly and leading the church in prayer ministries.
  • Pastoral Care: Provide counseling to families, visit the sick/hospital calls, and build relationships to know the congregation’s individuals and personalities.
  • Community Engagement: Serve the community as a whole, encouraging and maintaining young families, and fostering outreach and evangelism.
  • Leadership: Oversee church operations with strong organizational skills, though leading church meetings is less emphasized.

 Opportunities to Anticipate

  • Following a well-loved previous pastor who is retiring out of state, requiring sensitivity to the congregation’s emotional transition.
  • The church wishes for the pastor to focus the first year on preaching Biblical messages, getting to know the congregation deeply, memorizing names and establishing yourself and your family in the community.
  • Encouraging and maintaining young families and community-wide service.

Port Community Church is a welcoming congregation with a diverse membership seeking a pastor who will uphold biblical values while addressing growth areas. LEAD PASTOR AT SHILOH CHURCH (SHILOH, IL)

The Lead Pastor serves Shiloh Church by translating the church’s vision of being the most faithful community of disciples, proclaiming and living God’s biblical truthto transform lives into action.

Responsibilities:

Coordinating, planning, and leading all Christian programming for our congregants.

Qualifications:

HIGH SEASON 2026 FELLOW AT THOMAS THE APOSTLE CENTER (CODY, WY)

Job Description:

The High Season 2026 Fellow will perform general support of retreat center operations at Thomas the Apostle Center (TAC) in northwest Wyoming from mid May to mid October. This person will have the ability to learn all facets of retreat ministry, including programming support, hospitality, outreach, theological dialoguing, sacred ground/garden development, and national park/Yellowstone region recreation connector. There is also the opportunity to support numerous churches in the local community.
