Health Insurance

All international students on a F-1 or J-1 visa are required to carry health insurance and should consult the International Health Insurance Policy section in the financial certification packet for additional information specific to international students.

Students and their dependents are required to have medical insurance coverage with the following minimum benefits:

1. Medical benefits of at least $100,000 per accident or illness
2. Repatriation of remains in the amount of $25,000
3. Expenses associated with the medical evacuation of the exchange visitor to his or her home country in the amount of $50,000
4. A deductible not to exceed $500 per accident or illness.
5. All married international couples must select a plan with maternity benefits.
