Transfer Credit Policy & Procedures

  • Please begin by reviewing the transfer policies from the current Academic Catalog, within the Academic Information section.

To Apply For Credit Transfer

Please follow these four steps in sending your request to the Office of the Registrar on the Wilmore campus:

  1. Make a formal request by email to registrar@asburyseminary.edu attaching a completed Transfer Credit Evaluation Request.
  2. Request an official transcript from the school or schools from which you are seeking transfer credit. Transcripts can be sent directly to:Attn: Registrar’s Office

    If you have already submitted a final, official transcript from the school(s), please indicate that on the Transfer Credit Evaluation Request Form in lieu of submitting a new transcript.

  3. Include a copy of the syllabi for all coursework you would like considered for transfer credit. The syllabi you provide must be from the exact course, section and term you completed for credit. Syllabi may be submitted either in hard copy or digitally to registrar@asburyseminary.edu.

Once your transfer credit file is complete (all forms, academic records, and syllabi are received) your request will undergo the Seminary’s review process.

You will be notified at the time of pre-approval or awarding of transfer credit with indication of how the awarded hours apply toward your enrolled degree program. You can expect this process to take approximately 6-8 weeks as requests are normally processed in order of receipt. We encourage you to consult with your Advisor for course selection and degree planning as you await the outcome of your petition and upon receipt of that decision.
