Campus Store Releases First “Uniquely Asbury Seminary” Product

Published Date: March 30, 2016

Wesley Square has long been a sought-after spot on the Kentucky campus of Asbury Theological Seminary for prayer and contemplation.  The square, surrounded by serene landscaping, is dedicated to the founder of Methodism and features a bronze life-sized statue of the preacher.  In more recent years, current students, alumni and visitors have also been seen taking “selfies” with the statue.

Through the marvels of modern technology, the Asbury Seminary Campus Store has created a miniature version of the John Wesley statue suitable for display.  The idea for the statue came about when campus store leadership brainstormed about products that would uniquely represent Asbury Theological Seminary.  “We wanted to create a series of products that connected with our Alumni,” said Nathan Hollister, Coordinator of the Campus Store.  The John Wesley statue is the first in a number of upcoming “uniquely Asbury Seminary” products that the Campus Store is producing, including items related to Estes Chapel, the spiritual “hub” of the Seminary.  The John Wesley statuette retails for $24.99 on the Seminary Campus Store Website, but for a limited time, ATS Alums can save 20% on the statue when they enter coupon code “ATSALUM” at checkout.  Shipping is free on orders of $49 or more.
