Dear Graduates from Classes of 1970, 1971, and 1972!
Dear Golden Graduate classes of 2020, 2021 and 2022,
The Asbury Alumni Office is busy planning and praying for you as we prepare for our Golden Graduate Weekend for May 2022! The event will begin Friday morning, May 20th, and end Saturday afternoon, May 21st. Due to our inability to host our Golden Graduate weekends in 2020 and 2021 because of the global coronavirus pandemic, we will be hosting all three of your classes together! Get ready to have a great time with your classmates!
We hope to add your name to the list of those attending, but even if you cannot come, we want to honor you. In order to ensure your recognition, we have a Biographical Information Form for you to fill out and return to our office. We will need to receive your information by February 14, 2022. We are excited to hear what the Lord has done through your life in the past fifty years, and we look forward to sharing that story with your classmates. But, we cannot get our form to you if we don’t have your current address!
Please contact us and make sure your mailing address, phone number, and email addresses are all up-to-date in our database so we can send you an RSVP packet!
With your RSVP, we will provide a complimentary hotel stay and meals. All you need to do is get to campus, and we will pick up all the expenses while you are here with us. If you are married, your spouse will be welcomed with a complimentary stay and meals as well. If you require a caregiver to travel with you, please let us know so we can accommodate that guest and ensure your needs will be met while you are here. We want to make sure everyone can participate!
If you are coming from out of town, you may check in at the hotel on Thursday evening. We recommend setting your return flights home for after 4pm on Saturday. Graduation is a great time of fellowship and opportunity for reconnection, restoration, and celebration. You will also be there to welcome and encourage our new alumni as they graduate, so don’t miss this opportunity to invest in our most recent graduates!
We will be sending out another letter soon with more information about the hotel we will be using as well as our itinerary and instructions for checking in for the event. Please spread the word with your classmates about this event and encourage them to update their contact information with our office in the meantime. We don’t want anyone to be left out!
PLEASE NOTE: This year, we will be unable to stay at the Asbury Inn. There are simply not enough rooms available to host even one class, let alone three. Please do not make your own hotel reservations, as this will be done for you by the Office of Alumni at our expense. We want to cover the cost of your stay! However, some of you have already expressed the desire to stay at Asbury Inn rather than using the hotel we are reserving. If you wish to make your own hotel reservations, it will need to be done at your expense. We do want to pay for your stay, but we also do not want to create any hurt feelings for other Golden Graduates who did not receive the same accommodations. If you make your own lodging arrangements, you still need to RSVP and indicate that you do not need lodging. If you fail to RSVP with the Office of Alumni, you will not be able to participate in the weekend!
If you have any questions, call us at (859) 858-2215 or email our office at firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope to see you in May!
