Find Your Place in the Seedbed Collective
As Seedbed has grown in the last three years and gotten to know the grassroots heroes of the Wesleyan tradition, we’ve seen just how many of you feel isolated in your trenches, not knowing who else in your community—much less the nation and world—stands alongside you in practice and theology.
Through hearing struggle in conversation after conversation, the Lord revealed to us the vision for Collectives. Collectives are consolidated communities dedicated to connecting those in common ministry positions with the hope that the collective experiences of all those involved will serve to encourage and inspire the greater movement forward.
Since the launch of our first Collective a year ago, we’ve seen the idea really take root, and in many ways, already start to product some incredible fruit. July saw the launch of two more communities (Preaching Collective and Worship Design Collective), so it seemed like a natural time to share these awesome resources with the alumni community. We encourage you to check out the sites and join hands with any Collective that resonates with your soul.
Preaching Collective
The Preaching Collective believes that a new revival is poised to break out in churches and communities across the world and is designed to give those who carry God’s Word the tools, ideas, and resources that we pray will enable us to “shake the gates of Hell and set up the kingdom of Heaven upon Earth.”
Worship Design Collective
Our experiences in corporate worship sculpt not only our understanding of the Triune God, but also our capacity as image bearers of the Creator. The Worship Design Collective’s prayer is that the Triune God would use this community to bring renewal in your congregation’s worship. We hope you’ll join the fellowship as we pray and share together resources for worship design.
Soul Care Collective
The Soul Care Collectives cares for anyone who hurts, whether clergy, clinicians, lay leaders, or even family or friends. Sometimes we are even struggling with our own hurts. No matter who you are, you will find support here for spiritual and emotional wellness. The Soul Care Collective exists to offer teaching and resources to any person who is interested in being equipped to care for souls.
Youth Ministry Collective
As Wesleyans we have much more to offer the world than one more variation on chubby bunny. The Youth Ministry Collective believes that the love-driven, grace-filled theology of John Wesley is not just compelling, but is the most transformative way to understand the working of God in the world. Not only that, its focus on the ever-present grace of God calling us to be more through his transforming love is the perfect lens for this generation of teens.
Church Planter Collective
The Church Planting Collective is a community of thought leaders and practitioners, from the newly minted to the veterans, committed to networking and encouraging church planters with the richness of the Wesleyan theological vision and tradition.
Faith and Work Collective
As faith and work integration resources are often limited, we desire to equip pastors, future pastors, and laypersons to integrate the witness of the Christian faith into the marketplace through holistic discipleship. The Faith and Work Collective provides resources to leaders that will encourage them to mobilize congregations and communities in the integration of faith with work and economics that witnesses to God’s purposes in word and deed to every society.
