Wonderful introduction of our next president. He seems grounded in the basic faith and foundations of the mission of ATS. His commitment to a “collaborative” leadership style is a reflection of a belief that all who come to ATS as students, staff, and faculty are part of the whole, each contributing to the faith culture and the Spirit Centered mission of ATS.
I am blessed to be living to join in prayers for Dr. Watson, his wife and family.
I’m excited to learn about Dr. David Watson’s appointment as the new president of Asbury Theological Seminary!
As someone from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India approaching Christianity from a non-Christian background, I’m particularly interested in how Dr. Watson will continue Asbury’s tradition of theological excellence while perhaps bringing new perspectives to the seminary. Leadership transitions often present fresh opportunities for growth and new approaches to education.
I look forward to learning more about Dr. Watson’s vision for Asbury and how his leadership might shape the experience for international students like myself who are seeking to understand Christian concepts more deeply. The seminary’s willingness to welcome diverse perspectives from around the world speaks volumes about its educational mission.
Congratulations to Dr. Watson on this significant appointment. I hope to experience his leadership firsthand through my studies at Asbury.
