YOUTH MINISTRY LEADER AT CORNERSTONE METHODIST CHURCH (WEST POINT, MS)

Cornerstone Methodist Church is a mid-sized Global Methodist congregation located in West Point, MS. Our church is seeking a Youth Ministry Leader to disciple and shepherd the next generation in a growing, Christ-centered community. This person will provide vision and leadership for our youth ministry, build meaningful relationships with students and families, and recruit and equip a team of volunteers to serve alongside them. This role is currently part-time, with the potential to expand into a full-time position depending on the candidate’s additional strengths and areas of ministry contribution.

DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES AT FAIRHOPE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH (FAIRHOPE, AL)
Fairhope United Methodist Church in Fairhope, AL (fairhopeumc.org) has an open position for a Director of Children’s Ministries. Fairhope UMC exists to love boldly, casting the light of Jesus into the world. Our ministry with children is essential to this mission.
FUMC averages 430 people in weekly worship attendance, with outstanding facilities and strong teams of volunteers. We also have a strong track record of local missions and community support. Our weekly children’s ministries have average weekly attendance of 20 (Sundays) and 50 (Wednesdays), welcoming about 200 individuals over the course of the year.  Fairhope, AL, is located in the 6th fastest-growing metro of the US and is routinely listed as a top 10 location to live in the South.
The Director of Children’s Ministry leads the spiritual development of children (infants through 6th grade) so that these children may come to accept God’s grace for themselves, profess their faith openly, and lead a Christian life. This includes leading, staffing and resourcing the spiritual formation programs designed for children: Sunday school, VBS, etc. Skill in the recruitment, equipping, and effective engagement and encouragement of parents and teachers/leaders is an essential part of the job.
The Director of Children’s Ministries works closely with the Children’s Ministry Leadership team and other ministry volunteers, while also developing relationships within the larger church membership. This position oversees a staff that includes the Children’s Ministry Assistant, Nursery Coordinator, and Ministry Interns. As part of our Discipleship Ministry, Children’s Ministry often collaborates with our Adult and Youth staff as well.
Required and demonstrated skills include:
  • Effective leadership: Prior experience and evidence of effectiveness in ministry with children (infants-6thgrade).
  • Management: A track record in the recruitment, equipping, and encouragement of adult teachers/leaders
  • Team building: An ability to build relationships with parents and equip them as partners in the spiritual development of their children.
  • Casting vision: Ability to lead a team with a positive spirit that supports the mission, vision, and core values of Fairhope United Methodist Church.
  • Planning and Execution: Ability to lead people in short-term planning and especially in long-range planning.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong personal faith consistent with the United Methodist tradition. Although current membership in a United Methodist church is not required, the Director of Children’s Ministries will be expected to become a member of Fairhope UMC upon employment.

ASSOCIATE PASTOR AT NEWNAN CITY CHURCH (NEWNAN, GA)
Newnan City Church (Newnan, GA) is part of the Free Methodist Church and a vibrant community with 500+ attendees in worship. We are in an exciting season of growth as we are preparing to move into our new church facility in Q4 of this year. We will celebrate our 10th anniversary January of 2027.
Position Summary
The Associate Pastor will serve alongside the Lead Pastor in advancing the mission of the church through preaching, pastoral care, and family ministry, with a primary emphasis on students. This role is for a pastor grounded in Wesleyan theology who has a heart for discipleship, relational ministry, and helping individuals and families grow in holiness, grace, and active faith.
Key Responsibilities
Family & Student Ministry
  • Lead and develop family ministry with a primary focus on students
  • Equip and support parents as primary spiritual leaders in the home
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers
  • Plan and oversee student ministry
  • Foster a welcoming, safe, and spiritually formative environment for students (Birth-12th Grade)

Preaching & Teaching

  • Preach in Sunday worship services as well as community events as scheduled
  • Assist in sermon planning and collaborative teaching with the pastoral team
  • Teach and lead Bible studies, small groups, and discipleship classes

Pastoral Care

  • Provide pastoral care through visitation, counseling, prayer, and spiritual guidance
  • Support congregants during times of crisis, illness, and life transitions
  • Assist with weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other pastoral duties

Leadership & Administration

  • Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and ministry staff in vision casting and ministry planning
  • Participate in staff meetings, ministry evaluations, and strategic initiatives
  • Support church-wide events and outreach efforts as needed

Qualifications

Required:

  • A clear calling to pastoral ministry within the Wesleyan theological tradition
  • Strong communication and relational skills
  • Demonstrated passion for preaching, discipleship, and student ministry
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based ministry environment

Preferred:

  • Master of Divinity (MDiv) or comparable theological training (preferred but not required)
  • Previous experience in pastoral ministry, student ministry, or family ministry
  • Ordination or progress toward ordination within a Wesleyan denomination

DIRECTOR OF YOUTH MINISTRY AT PORTERFIELD METHODIST CHURCH (ALBANY, GA)

Job Description: For almost 70 years Porterfield Methodist, a 2000-member congregation, has served the greater Albany, Ga area by fulfilling our vision to be a vibrant and thriving church where Christ’s loving Spirit radiates to all generations in our community. We offer traditional and contemporary worship experiences. Our church maintains a healthy balance of long-time generational members combined with those who are new to the Albany community. Porterfield Youth exists to reach students grades 6-12 with the Gospel, to disciple them in the Christian faith, to equip them to be faithful servants of Jesus Christ, and to send them out to be witnesses in their areas of influence.

The Director of Youth Ministry will be responsible for coordinating and administering an effective and comprehensive ministry for youth grades 6-12 and their families. This person will also seek to support and resource parents to function as the primary caretakers of their children’s spiritual formation. The Youth Director will work collaboratively with the clergy team and staff, and report to the Senior Pastor as well as the Staff-Parish Relations Committee. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and multi-day summer trips. ASSOCIATE PASTOR AT MARVIN METHODIST CHURCH (TYLER, TX)

Our historic downtown church, with 3,200 members, is located in the largest city of East Texas – a community that hosts two major hospital networks, three colleges, and welcomes approximately 250,000 people within city limits each day. Tyler is just south of the I-20 corridor, two hours east of Dallas and three hours north of Houston.

Marvin was the first faith community established in Tyler, and our beautiful sanctuary, built in 1890, reflects that rich heritage. Through the years, building campaigns and updates have provided our congregation with an outstanding campus, including a state-of-the-art contemporary worship venue and modern classrooms for all ages.

We have a long legacy of excellence in worship, offering two traditional and two contemporary services each week. We are currently seeking an Associate Pastor who will embrace our mission: to call people into relationship with Jesus Christ, equip them for service, and send them out into the world to do God’s work. Key Responsibilities

  • Ministry Leadership/Oversight:
    • Expand and equip laity to assist in the evangelism and assimilation ministry of the church, nurturing along Marvin’s discipleship pathway those who are inquiring about faith and church membership.
    • Build the relational processes that help people move from being a guest to an active and connected follower of Christ.
  • Church Community Engagement:
    • Equip, relate to, and minister among the younger adult demographic of the church.
    • Build relationships with younger adult Sunday School classes, cultivate involvement and service with them and participate in the leadership of the Budde Leadership Initiative.
  • Spiritual Leadership:
    • Provide pastoral care, counsel, visit the sick, officiate at weddings/funerals, and offer overall spiritual guidance.
    • Provide worship leadership in rotation with the Core and Traditional Worship services.
    • Participate in the leadership of the Mid-Week Meditation/Communion service.
  • Preaching & Teaching:

  • Discipleship & Growth:
    • Participate in personal and communal growth along Marvin’s discipleship pathway.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Build local partnerships and serve as a church representative.

Key Duties & Functions

  • Serve as a member of the Marvin clergy team helping with strategic planning, pastoral care, and on-call matters, and providing supervision for direct reports of ministry directors.
  • Recruit, train, and lead church volunteers to build an effective evangelism and assimilation team helping the church maximize its potential for Kingdom impact.
  • Assist in planning and leading worship services and writing liturgy for sanctuary services when in traditional worship. Provide creative leadership for special services throughout the year.
  • Shepherd the younger adults of the church into deeper faith engagement.
  • With the help of a shared assistant, provide administrative leadership for your ministry and ministry teams.

Education

  • Master of Divinity or Pastoral Studies Program equivalent required and 3-5 years of full-time ministry experience.
