New Room Conference 2018
Last month, over 2,000 of us were breaking bread, singing “And Can It Be,” and praying together for awakening in our generation. And honestly, it’s a little hard to believe that another New Room Conference has already come and gone. If you were with us, we’re so thankful and if you weren’t, we really missed you.
Our team has spent the past few weeks processing all that we experienced over those three days and retelling the countless stories you’ve shared with us. We’re still not able to fully put into words the innumerable ways the Lord showed up and moved, but we want to share just a glimpse at some of the stories coming out of New Room:
“My bishop asked me what I thought of all this. I replied, “Bishop, I don’t go to the New Room to think. I come here to meet with God.” God is present wherever two or three are gathered in His name. But when the numbers are 2,200, the Presence reaches Pentecostal proportions.”
“Honestly, I experienced God in all of it, from being wrecked, to having moments of intense shalom. I’m still struggling to find the words to explain the awesome experience as well as process all of the experiences. For once in my life, I experienced the Holy Spirit and felt the peace of His power while not being an emotional wreck. I believe that was Shalom. Abiding in Christ. Soaking in and basking in His glorious presence.”
So many of you have shared with us that one of the best parts of the New Room Conference each year is the ability to connect with old classmates and professors and commonly seek the Lord’s face again. Conference may be over, but it is our prayer that we will all carry that same spirit of teaching, worship, passion, and fellowship into each and every one of the days to come.
