Night with New Room
It’s time for us to meet again.
It’s time to repent and believe the Gospel.
It’s time to humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord—to confess, renounce and return with all our hearts.
In the midst of the chaos and uncertainty, God is still making a way for us to come together. Never before in our lifetimes have we experienced such a protracted period of crisis. And never before have we experienced such a profound opportunity for awakening. This is the reason for A Night with New Room – Ash Wednesday.
Ash Wednesday will be more significant this year than in a generation. In the wake of 2 million deaths from a global pandemic, a polarized political nightmare that won’t stop, and deep unrest, injustice and pain across racial lines, it is time to engage the Lord at a new level; a deeper level. It is time to take our sowing for awakening to the next place of honesty and faithfulness before the Lord. We will make camp around the ancient text from the Prophet Joel:
“Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.”
Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.
On February 17, we’re coming to you—wherever you are—to walk through a journey of repentance marked by confession, renunciation and returning to the Lord with ALL of our hearts, both personally and collectively. There is no charge, but be warned, it could lead to costly obedience. It could well be a Wednesday night for the history books.
We welcome you to join on your own, host a group or meet at your church (taking COVID safety precautions into consideration, of course!), but we still encourage you to have each and every person attending register. This allows us to provide each participant with complimentary follow up materials and a recorded copy of the evening if they missed a portion or would like to view them again.
This is such an important moment in the life of the world, a moment to pivot from what has been to the awakening on the horizon. In the wake of much death, we need to be together and claim resurrection life as we head into the 40 days to the Cross. Through crisis, we believe the Lord is opening a door for us that cannot be closed—a doorway into a sustained season of awakening. We must walk through it together.
Registration is recommended—and completely free—at newroomconference.com.
I would like to join in the evening of Feb 17.
I plan to participate, but I will not be able to participate until following our Ash Wednesday Service at my church.
Will I be able to start from the beginning when I came to A Night with New Room Ash Wednesday?
thanks,
