Pastor Tim Johnson received his M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2001. He attributes his seminary experience to shaping him as the pastor, preacher and teacher he is today. In 2016, Pastor Tim was humbly honored to be named the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year. Along with his time at Asbury, Pastor Tim has been in ministry for 26 years and counting, with 18 of those as pastor of Pfrimmer‘s Chapel Church in Corydon, Indiana. He also serves as Co-Founder and Spiritual Director of The Joshua Center Global, Inc., a ministry of coaching and training leaders that reaches four continents. Pastor Tim has fully embraced the power and the intimacy of the Holy Spirit in his life, as well as his call as an apostolic leader. With his gifting of preaching, teaching, and humor, hundreds of pastors, ministry leaders, and emerging leaders around the globe have been trained and equipped in the Holy Spirit through Pastor Tim’s deep and revelatory teachings.
Recently, Pastor Tim completed his first book, “The Person and The Power,” a 52-Week devotional on cultivating intimacy and experiencing activity of the Holy Spirit daily. Through this devotional book, you are invited to a year-long journey through the Book of Acts to discover all that it means to have the Third Person of a living and loving God dwelling within you as a born-again believer in Jesus Christ. ATS STUDENT AUTHORS NEW BOOK
Mark Tanner is in the final year of his D.Min. at Asbury. He is also a bishop in the Church of England. This year, he authored a book – Faithful? Foolish? Called: Recognising God’s call and what to do about it – described below:
In a world obsessed with image, income, reputation, and opportunity it can be hard to hear the quiet whisper of Christ calling us onward, upward, and outward…
… and yet Christ is one who calls.
He calls unlikely people to extraordinary things, and as we give ourselves to the impossible in the midst of the ordinary we discover that his grace really is sufficient.
Foolish, maybe, but always sufficient and utterly faithful.
This book explores what calling feels like in the real world. The ancient story of King Ahab and a series of prophets invites us to explore the deepest callings in our life. Who are you called to be, and what does this mean you need to do?
