Welcome to Our New Website: Featuring the Soul Care Community Blog

Published Date: February 1, 2018

As some of you may have noticed, we launched a new website for the Office of Alumni in November. The first main section to launch is the Prayer section of our new initiative, Asbury for Life.

Our team would like to help you get acquainted with our new site, how to navigate it, and what opportunities and resources are available to you. Last month, we featured our Prayer Wall, which is a place where we can all visit, leave our prayer requests, and pray for those who have left prayer requests on the wall. There is no better way to strengthen our bonds than by praying for one another.

This month, we would like to feature another resource in the Prayer section of Asbury for Life: the Soul Care Community blog.

The Soul Care Community is a community of writers who observe the everyday task of nurturing their souls and the souls of others. Our team and contributors come from a variety of professional backgrounds, including pastors, clinical counselors, educators, and even homemakers and parents. The blog’s focus is on equipping people to care for their own souls and for the souls of others from a distinctly Wesleyan Christian perspective. We gear our writing toward spiritual formation, counseling, mental health, emotional health, and spiritual health topics. We even provide helpful reviews of the newest books as well as a weekly spiritual exercise that can help you grow closer to God. There are currently over 500 articles of various helpful topics that can equip you for ministry and help you care for yourself as well. Some of our categories include the following:

Check us out and be edified and strengthened by the resources we have collected for you. And, as always, if you enjoy writing and have something stirring in your heart that fits with the theme and ethos of our blog, feel free to submit your work for consideration on our blog by emailing soulcarecommunity@gmail.com.
