Asbury University Hosts 50th Anniversary Celebration of 1970 Revival

Published Date: January 2, 2020

If you were around Wilmore in 1970, you will remember the revival that broke out on the Asbury University campus that lasted 8 days. It was an event that still affects the campus to this day and created lifelong transformations for many. This winter will mark the 50th anniversary of that event! To celebrate, the University is hosting a 50th anniversary celebration that will kick off the evening of February 2nd. All are invited to attend.

The University invites you to a luncheon Monday at the cafeteria immediately following chapel at noon where there will be fellowship and testimonies given. Later that evening, there will be a Revival Hymn Sing in Hughes Auditorium at 7 p.m. which will be led by our own seminary music director, Danny Key. There was a very special music arrangement created for the 1st anniversary back in 1971 that they will duplicate for the 50th anniversary so if you were there, you don’t want to miss this opportunity to hear this once again!

If you were personally impacted by this event, the University would like to hear your story! Please fill out this form and submit it to them.
