Fletcher Chapel Renovations: Stewarding our Spaces in Ways that Honor God

Published Date: March 5, 2019

Fletcher Chapel is a unique space on our Wilmore campus. Inside, you will find a large Communion table encircled by an altar. This room is constructed with Jesus as its focus, with the Eucharistic Elements in the center of the room. Four days a week, Communion is served to all who are hungry for a touch from our Savior. It is an intimate place of worship where many encounter the very real Presence of Christ. The Chapel was built decades ago, and like all buildings and facilities, is in need of a refreshing. There are also some structural changes that need to be made in order to preserve this space from sustaining weather damage in the future.

In an effort to thank our faithful donors who ensure we can maintain this critical space in a way that transforms our community and honors God, we have created an Asbury Seminary exclusive “Keep the Feast” design on our famous, buttery soft Canvas + Bella brand shirts. The only way to get this shirt is to donate to the Fletcher Chapel Renovation Fund. But, for our alumni, a donation of any amount will get you one! Even if you cannot give much, having a high percentage of alumni giving draws in some larger donors, because they see that our graduates value the work we do here in training theologically trained and Spirit-empowered women and men who go out into the world and spread the gospel to the ends of the earth.

To date, we have received $7,701.00 from toward our $50,000 goal for the much-needed renovations. Will you help us reach $10,000 by the end of this month? If you send us a dollar for Fletcher Chapel, you get a shirt, and you can do that right here by visiting our online giving portal! Please remember to indicate your shirt size and shipping address. You can also send a check to us here:

Do you still have the “Keep the Feast” t-shirts? When I go to give on-line it says “Asbury for Life” t-shirts are being given for the Fletcher renovation project…
