As the time of graduation neared, the chapel office took two days to rejoice with the graduates.  In addition, a few of the graduates served the community through leading in acts of worship during these two days.  The two graduates who were asked to preached both received the Beeson Preaching Award, Brandon Candee (MDiv) and Adam Roe (MDiv).  Brandon preached on “A Double Portion of Asbury Seminary” taken from 2 Kings 2:1-14 and Matthew 5:3.  Adam preached on “Seminary Valleys” based on Psalm 23.

Each of our times at Asbury have looked quite different, but in our own ways this has been a place of healing and growth.  Erica Hancock (MASF), Kei Hiramatsu (MDiv), and myself (MDiv) were invited to share our testimonies.  Other graduates who shared in leadership during the services were Kristina Whiteman (MAIS), Stephen Fincher (MDiv), Eugene Quek (MDiv), Lauren Reyes (MABS), Zach Fitzpatrick (MDiv), Randy Hardman (MABS and MATS), and Jeannie Belgrave (MDiv).  The twelve of us represented the 124 graduates who walked at the Luce Center on May 24, 2014.

As the class of 2014 embarks on new routes throughout the world sharing the whole Bible, we go forth with knowledge we have gained in our time at Asbury Theological Seminary.  But even more so, we go with our souls resting in the Lord, knowing that we are His, and He is ours.
