Kingdom Conference 2024 is Coming October 14-17!

Published Date: October 1, 2024

Kingdom Conference is a time where we emphasize the transformation of communities through missions and peacemaking throughout the world. We celebrate the presence of God’s Kingdom in our community and in connection with the global church through our Chapel services and special evening events. This year, we will have an additional kick-off event on Monday, October 14.

We are excited to hear from the Very Reverend Professor Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu who will speak on the theme “When the Spirit Moves: Acting Justly, Loving Mercy, and Walking Humbly with God.” Bishop Asamoah-Gyadu will speak during each Chapel at 11:00 am from Tuesday to Thursday during the Conference.

Although Kingdom Conference is open to anyone in the Asbury Seminary community, if you register for the Conference then you can get extra notifications for events as well as a lanyard with your name and a schedule.

Along with Chapel services, Kingdom Conference includes evening events:

  • Worship Night Kick-Off on Monday, October 14, at 7pm.
  • Night of Stories on Tuesday, October 15, at 7pm. Storytelling is a tradition that exists in many cultures around the world—it is how we know the Gospel today! Join this evening for a cozy night of stories where we will listen to people in our community tell stories of their own experiences acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God. Light refreshments will be provided.
  • Wednesday, October 16 – TBD
  • Fellowship Night on Thursday, October 17, at 6pm. This is a potluck, so please consider bringing food to share (serving size for you/your family plus 10-20 others)! Everyone in the Asbury Theological Seminary community is welcome to join this night of fellowship!

Chapels and some evening events will be livestreamed! So, if you are unable to join in person, consider joining us online through the livestream page.
