ASBURY ALUM CO-EDITS AND CONTRIBUTES TO PRESTIGIOUS VOLUMES
Rebekah Bled, an Asbury grad (MAIS-CP, 2019), has recently contributed to two volumes. She co-edited Proclaiming Christ in the Power of the Holy Spirit: Opportunities and Challenges (Tulsa: ORU Press, 2021) with Wonsuk Ma and Emmanuel Anim.  Her chapter in this volume is called “The Gift of Christ’s Uniqueness: Postscript.” This year, she also contributed a chapter to and co-edited with Wonsuk Ma and Opoku Onyinah, Good News to the Poor: Spirit-Empowered Responses to Poverty (Tulsa: ORU Press, 2022). This volume, which is now available, provides a collection of Spirit-empowered perspectives on poverty from scholars and practitioners around the globe, including Asbury’s own Médine Keener. Dr. Keener’s chapter is entitled, “Civil Unrest and Poverty in Congo Brazzaville: A Personal Story.” Rebekah’s chapter is entitled, “The Kingdom Comes: Postscript.”
These volumes bring together diverse Spirit-empowered voices on a unified topic and are well-suited for readings in development, evangelism, and/or world Christianity classes. See the links above to learn more or purchase these resources.
