PASTOR LUKE PARK OF FOUR WINDS NYC ON HIS VISIT WITH DR. ALVAREZ
“It was also great talking to Emilio, and I was so blessed by his presence and his words. Whether it was God speaking through the lips of Emilio or him speaking from his heart, I was deeply grateful to hear how much God cares and trusts me to continue this ministry in the city. I had buried my disappointment and some feelings I have yet to identify, but I was grateful to know that God hears them, too. I really loved and appreciated Emilio’s openness in sharing his own struggles and encouraging me how I have something that only I can contribute to the part of this city that God desires to see. To be honest, I had some doubts and was a bit frustrated leading into this next season, but through Asbury families, I have been given a new shoulder to lean on and be encouraged. There is something amazing your group of people are doing here, and I am sure God is at work through your team. I have yet to meet you guys in person, but through the past 2-3 months, I’ve been noticing how much God is trying to encourage me through your families: Jay Moon was one of them, for sure, Carson’s prayer over the phone, and this visit from Emilio was so timely, and can’t thank you enough for encouraging me!” – Luke Park
