Dr. Kenneth Myers

Assistant Professor of Counselor Education & Clinical Coordinator

Dr. Myers is a native of Lancaster County, PA, and is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church. He has served numerous churches for 26 years throughout South Georgia and North Florida. In 2016, he received a Master of Arts in Counseling from Regent University. In 2021, Dr. Myers earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education from the University of Florida. His doctoral dissertation is entitled, “Empowering Survivors to Speak Their Truth: An Exploration of Counselors’ Lived Experiences of Providing Therapy with Adult Male Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse.”

Dr. Myers is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern in Florida and is working toward becoming an Associate Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia. He is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider. Besides his vast pastoral experience, he has counseled at an inpatient residence for underserved youth, an inpatient mental health treatment center at a large regional hospital, a private counseling clinic for individuals and couples, and a university counseling center for students.

Dr. Myers hopes to help his clients achieve their best selves by focusing on their strengths. He firmly believes that we are all God’s handiwork and that no one is beyond God’s redemptive power.
