Asbury Theological Seminary extends an invitation to our annual Advent Vespers service, which will be held in Estes Chapel on Sunday, December 4th, 2022 at 6:30 p.m.

This year’s program, “Celebrate!” features the Seminary Singers accompanied by an orchestra, under the direction of Rev. Danny Key. As Asbury Seminary celebrates its 100th birthday, we rejoice in God’s blessings to us during our past century of service and in all God has given us through his Son. In celebration, we will be singing favorite Christmas carols and beautiful anthems, and hearing readings from our students.

Some 56 years ago now, Prof. John (Jack) Tremaine at Asbury Seminary debuted a special Advent service on campus. Since then, generations of Seminary students, their families, and the Wilmore community have been blessed by the sacred music of the season during these Advent Vespers services, and are awed and inspired by the lighting of the candles while singing “Silent Night” at the end of the service.
We hope you can join us for this special evening to “Celebrate!” either in person in Estes Chapel (overflow seating in McKenna Chapel) or via live stream at asbury.to/live.
