Asbury Seminary is delighted to welcome Dr. Peter Rios to the Asbury Seminary family as the Executive Director of the Asbury Latino Center. The Asbury Latino Center is responsible for Spanish and bilingual programs at Asbury Seminary. These programs are offered online, face-to-face and in hybrid classes and reflect the best scholarship and ministry training the Seminary has to offer.

“I feel blessed and privileged to join Asbury Seminary,” Rios said. “Few institutions of theological education are so well positioned to serve the Latina community, and to be invited to serve in this capacity is exciting! I will also have the opportunity to connect with the broader Seminary student body as a faculty-administrator, teaching within the field of leadership and working with the office of faith, work, and economics.”

Peter has previously served as a program director, associate vice president, and vice president in other academic institutions within the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities. He has also taught in organizational leadership and Christian ministry at Roberts Wesleyan College, Indiana Wesleyan University, Wesley Seminary, and Colorado State University-Global Campus. Peter has experience in developing and evaluating degree and non-degree programs, as well as online and continuous education, which will be a great asset in his new role at Asbury Seminary. Peter holds a doctorate in strategic leadership from Regent University and is currently completing a Ph.D. in intercultural studies at Fuller Theological Seminary.

Please be praying for Peter as he transitions into this role and for his family, as he and his wife Ruby settle in Orlando, Fla.
