WILMORE—Asbury Theological Seminary is saddened to announce the death of current Asbury Seminary student Aaron Nickerson as a result of a two-car accident today on 169 near the Jessamine and Woodford County line. Two other Asbury Seminary students, Uma John and Anastasia Marcum, were also injured and are receiving treatment at the University of Kentucky hospital.

The Seminary community will hold a prayer vigil tonight at 6 p.m. in Estes Chapel to pray for healing for the two injured students and for the family of Aaron Nickerson. Two others were also involved in today’s accident, and we pray for them and their families.

“The entire Seminary community comes together with deep sadness to pray for the students, their families, and the two others who were involved in today’s terrible tragedy,” Dr. Timothy Tennent, President of Asbury Seminary, said. “We pray for healing for those injured and God’s deep peace and comfort for the family of Aaron Nickerson.”

Join us in prayer for the families of those involved.
