Asbury Seminary welcomes Allan Varghese Meloottu as the new Registrar at Asbury Theological Seminary. Previously, Allan served as the Manager of International Services. He will continue to serve as the regulatory arm of international affairs, and the Designated Student Official (DSO) responsibilities will move under the Registrar’s Office. Allan will work directly with Enrollment Management and Academic Affairs to provide students with the academic support needed to enroll and complete their degrees.

“We are so excited about all that has already taken place under Allan’s leadership in International Services and are looking forward to having him as our new Registrar. Because of his extensive educational experience, his perspective of the student experience will be helpful as Asbury Seminary continues forward in the next 100 years,” said Kevin Bish, the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Services.

Allan, a native of India, joins us with his cross-cultural social work and administrative experiences with organizations such as Kids Company London (England) and World Relief in Durham, North Carolina. He holds a Master’s in Social Work (Christ University, Bangalore), an M.A. in Integrative Psychotherapy (London School of Theology), a Certificate in Theological Studies (Wycliffe Hall, University of Oxford), and a Master’s in Theological Studies (Duke Divinity School). He is also a Ph.D. (IS) candidate at the Seminary, researching the intersection of Indian Pentecostalism and social engagements. Some of his research has been published in academic journals, including Nidan: International Journal for Indian Studies (2019), Religions (2023), and Asian Journal for Pentecostal Studies (2023).

Allan is married to his wonderful wife Regina, and they have very active young twin boys—Micah and Nathaniel. They attend and serve the local community through Every Nation Lexington Church.
