WILMORE, Ky., September 23, 2025—Asbury Theological Seminary recently welcomed three new members to the Board of Trustees: Rodney B. Adams, Robin Lim, and Lyndol L. Loyd. Our latest members were on the Kentucky campus from September 2–3, to take part in board orientation, meet with the Executive Leadership Team, and worship in chapel. The members of the board are excited about the many years of experience and expertise each new member brings to the leadership of Asbury Seminary.

Rodney B. Adams

Rodney B. Adams is the Executive Director of Asbury Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which houses Asbury Seminary’s Tulsa Extension Site. In his role, he oversees all of the Asbury Church’s strategy, operations, and staff. Before Asbury Church, Adams served as the Executive Director of Munger Place Church in Dallas, Texas, a position he helped create, and was the Founding Chairman of the Munger Place Church Leadership Council, established to provide aid to the Senior Pastor. Adams also worked in Investment Management for Goldman Sachs & Co. shortly after serving as a Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. He continues to work as an Independent Consultant for a variety of clients and projects, and has served terms on at least two boards since August 2015. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Texas Tech University, an MBA from Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, and is completing a Master of Biblical Counseling degree from Dallas Theological Seminary.


Robin Lim

Robin Lim is an Assistant Professor in the Dayton School of Business and Director of Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky. He graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary with an M.Div. in May 2023, having earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Bachelor of Information Technology degree from the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia. Lim has significant experience in leadership in the banking industry, recently employed as the Global Head of Home Lending Products for the National Australia Bank, where he was accountable for over $300 billion worth of assets across Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. Lim is also a pastor and church planter in the Chinese Methodist Church, served two terms as a Council Member for the World Methodist Council, and was selected to be one of 5,000 delegates for the Lausanne Congress 4 Marketplace track. He serves on the board of various organizations and was the founding director of MATES for Change, an Australian organization that champions multicultural social entrepreneurship. 


Lyndol L. Loyd

Lyndol L. Loyd is the Lead Pastor of LakeRidge Methodist Church in Lubbock, Texas, a Global Methodist Church. Loyd earned both his Master of Divinity degree in 1993 and his Doctor of Ministry degree in 2000 from Asbury Theological Seminary. Loyd earned his Bachelor of Science in Family Studies from Texas Tech University in 1990. After earning his M.Div. from Asbury Seminary, he served as the Director of Henderson State University/Ouachita Baptist University Wesley Foundation, as well as the Pastor of Manchester Methodist Church, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He was the founding pastor of both Mountainside Church in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, and LifeSong Church in Orlando, Florida, the latter of which houses the Asbury Seminary Orlando Extension Site. He then succeeded the founding pastor of LakeRide Church, helping lead a $4.7 million capital campaign and helping lead the church into affiliation with the Global Methodist Church.
