Dr. Bryan D. Sims Signs One-Year, Non-Residential Contract
In summer 2019, Dr. Bryan D. Sims and his family will move to Dallas, Texas. Bryan will continue his work as Associate Professor of Leadership & Lay Equipping and Director of Asbury Institutes & Lay Mobilization on a one-year non-residential contract.
“Bryan has been phenomenal in his work with Institutes (including Lay Mobilization), teaching, service to the seminary and community, and in his teaching and interactions with students,” Dr. Doug Matthews, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, said. “We are grateful that he can maintain this kingdom momentum in the upcoming year.”
Bryan’s wife MyLinda graduates in May 2019 with an LLM in Taxation from Georgetown Law School in Washington, D.C. The family has been praying through new opportunities for her and has discerned the Lord leading her to accept a job as a tax attorney with Ernst and Young in Dallas. While the move comes with mixed emotions, Bryan is excited to continue teaching leadership courses for our leadership (MAL), church planting (MAIS-CP), and D.Min. students, and to continue leading more than a dozen new Asbury Institute launches in the coming year.
