Wilmore Hospitality

Many of our hybrid courses are offered at the Kentucky campus in Wilmore. The Asbury Global Formation team provides snack breaks and community dinners during the three highest volume hybrid weeks of the Fall and Spring semesters. We also offer welcome bags to all hybrid students visiting Wilmore. We encourage students to stop by our offices on the first floor of the Cowen Building.

Wilmore Chapel Schedule

Set in the heart of the breathtaking Bluegrass region, Asbury Theological Seminary’s Kentucky campus is a peaceful place of redbrick buildings and stately chapel spires. Within this serene setting beats a vibrant heart for Christ. Central to the “Asbury Seminary Experience” is its lively chapel services. During these times, the community unites to worship through song, prayer and the dynamic preaching of God’s word. While corporate worship unites the campus, individual spiritual formation is encouraged through small-group interaction and community events.

The surrounding Wilmore area has a peaceful and academically-charged ambiance, with Asbury University just across the street. This small, two-stoplight town is characterized by the kindness of the community and slow-life feel. Wilmore is also close to the city-life of Lexington as well as the beautiful nature scenes of surrounding trails and parks. The Kentucky campus is located 16 miles south of Lexington, KY, an urban area with a population of nearly 300,000. Louisville and Cincinnati are each 70 minutes from Lexington. Knoxville and Nashville are both about 3.5 hours away. Lexington’s Lexington Bluegrass Airport (LEX) is serviced by six major airlines providing 13 non-stop destinations and offering more than 85 flights daily. The Louisville International Airport (SDF) is located only 71 miles from campus.

Hospitality Student Worker

Ria is pursuing her Masters of Arts in Leadership. She graduated from Wheaton College in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. As she pursues the calling God has upon her life, she seeks to integrate His word into the relationships, community, and opportunities in academia with which God has blessed her. Ria has lived in four countries, and through her travels and studies, she has been in touch with many more cultures and languages. These connections have flamed Ria’s passion to experience Christ’s kingdom here on earth. She has a heart to welcome those from all over the world and various walks of life with Christ’s love into a safe and inviting space where students and their families feel like they belong as they enter into the Asbury Seminary community.

Online Students

We recognize that our online only students sometimes feel disconnected from the greater Asbury Seminary community. In order to facilitate deeper connection, our team offers one-to-one Zoom meetings. Our goal is to give online students the opportunity to share their stories, particularly in relation to God’s calling to pursue seminary training. During these meetings, we also connect students with other teams (such as Career and Calling and Health and Achievement) and make counseling or coaching referrals when desired.

Please note that our international student chaplain is available via email and/or video conferencing to our students who are studying outside the United States. Our chaplain is available to offer a pastoral presence and to pray with you. If you would like to connect, please complete this form.
