Academic Advising
Our Academic Advisors assist master’s level students in planning their academic coursework and serve as guides to interpret the curriculum. We work collaboratively with you to select courses that not only fulfill degree requirements but also prepare you for your intended area of ministry.
An Academic Advisor will serve you from your first semester, until the time we celebrate with you at your graduation. Students will be assigned an academic advisor who will initiate contact with students during their first semester. The advisor will maintain contact with advisee each semester and at key times throughout the degree program. The advisor will be available to meet in-person, via phone or Zoom for students regularly, as well as maintain records (such as degree audits) for each student. The advisor will be available to guide the student through the registration process, as well as navigate other information such as “holds,” degree plan changes, adding or dropping courses, Mentored Ministry planning, understanding residential requirements, planning for graduation, and navigating necessary forms or processes of the Registrar’s office.
Doctor of Ministry and Advanced Research Program students (Th.M. and Ph.D.) are advised by their program offices and program faculty members.
