Asbury Seminary celebrates the completion of its new Global Alumni Center September 6, 2022. The Global Alumni Center is located on the first floor of Crary-McPheeters and welcomes alumni and friends and will serve as the hub of the seminary’s engagement with our alumni. Throughout the Center, visitors are invited to explore the rich legacy of Asbury Seminary with pictures, videos, recordings and other interactive displays.

“The Global Alumni Center is a testament to God’s blessing to us the past hundred years and our hope to continue to send out spirit-filled, sanctified graduates who embody the full gospel and multiply wherever they serve,” Dr. Timothy C. Tennent, President of Asbury Seminary, said. “With more than 13,000 graduates serving around the world, this new center reflects our commitment to serve the global church and spread the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ around the world.”

An interactive map tells global alumni stories, emphasizing the Seminary’s mission statement to “send forth men and women to spread scriptural holiness around the world.” On this global display, visitors will see points of light where alumni serve in 76 different countries around the world. Here, Henry Clay Morrison’s vision, “The Whole Bible for the Whole Word,” is realized more fully after 100 years of dedication to this mission. The culmination of all these pinpoints of light makes the viewer marvel at what God might do with Asbury Theological Seminary in the next 100 years.

The walls of the Global Alumni Center have become a space where we continue to glorify God by sharing some of the ways He has blessed the Seminary and our alumni to help usher in His Kingdom in our world. One wall is engraved with the names of our alumni who have graduated since our inception. The other walls showcase the mission of the Seminary and tell additional stories of our rich spiritual history. This room will become the place where our Board of Trustees and Alumni Council will meet when in session to conduct business and continue to seek the Lord in our commitment to spread scriptural holiness around the world for years to come. Guests are invited to pause on their tour in the dedicated prayer room and rest in God’s grace that has played such a significant role in the Seminary’s history.

One hundred years later, Asbury Seminary’s 13,000 graduates flourish in every state, on every continent, in every time zone, reaching the world through churches, mission fields, trash dumps, inner cities, national parks, universities, coffee houses, businesses, and community gardens, to name a few. Read some of their stories on our Voices page.

We are grateful for the way our alumni and partners are continuing God’s mission around the world and pray God’s blessing on the next 100 years.
